Do you find yourself like this? I am! As soon as I pick up a piece of potato chip, I cannot not go for the second piece, third piece... until I find myself have way enough and suffer... not only potato chips but chocolate, candy, cheeseball etc as well!
I think I am getting better though, I used to be very crazy about junk food, I always bought a bunch of different junk food home and they were not able to stay overnight frequently... but these days, I can control myself when is a time to stop.
So what kinds of junk food eater are you?
-eat way more than you want to?
-cannot stop at all?
-just couple pieces?

Hi ivy, I do quite well as I don't like fast food or snack food like crisps and stuff and can live for weeks without chocolate.
But the one thing I can't stop with and it's only been since this summer, is jelly beans. They are completely addictive. I let my son have a packet one day and of course he was kind enough to share and thus our mutual addiction has grown. We don't do it too often and look foward to it as a treat, and can share packet quite nicely as I like the the green and yellow ones, whilst he'll eat the nasty red ones and the white ones. We share the orange ones. And right now I wish I'd never answered this Ivy as there is not a single bean in the house and you've set off a mad craving for them.

haha sorry about that :-p
I don't like jelly bean very much but I remember there was one time, I was at somebody's house waiting for the party to start, there was a bowl of jelly bean next to me so I figured I could eat a little bit while I was waiting... I ended up almost ate the whole bowl... so I think it is addictive too!!!

Sammie, that's exactly what I did when I couldn't control myself... as long as the chips is in my sight, I couldn't get away with it...

Just call me the junk food junkie! I would go to the store and buy half junk food, it's like I need Matts or Decadent cookies, or similar; the soft batch!! Oatmeal Creme Pies, Suzy Q's, pretzels, sour cream n onion potato chips, corn chips, milk, pop (soda)! Ok, I'm bouta get off here and go finish off my duplex and chocolate frosted donuts and dipem in milk

I think the same way, when you eat a small piece of junk food it really is difficult to not keep eating it until it is finished, even though I know how bad it is for me! I do not usually buy too much junk food when I go shopping. If it's not in the home, then I can't eat it when I have a craving!

I can be just like this and at night I'm the worst i guess you can say i like my midnight snacks the best and it usually involves a bag of potato chips. Lately i have been limiting myself by just putting some on a paper plate or in a bowl and only eat the amount i have put on the paper plate or in the bowl so i don't over eat and just keep eating the chips as i don't want to become over weight of course.
Limiting myself to only a certain amount can make a difference in your later years of living of course. There are other snacks of course that i like but then again i limit myself and only put a certain amount of ice cream in a bowl. It's better to control what you eat then just keep eating even thought we all want o eat the entire bag of chips of course.

I will speak true, actually frankly speaking i am a beggar at junk food and this is the reason y i am gaining weight like a elephant.I cannot resist myself when it comes to junk and oh please just one piece of the chips? i will prefer dieting from next day then ;-)
well i had stopped eating junk for sometime but the moment i go home i just break all the rules, i am just like a innocent idiot who know the bad effects but have no control in going for the bad itself.

I feel the same. I also eating the junk food like potato chips. It is delicious and I can't stop it. I try not to buy it often because once I eat, perhaps my son will eat it, too. So I will avoid to eat it and therefore the same for my son. At least it will be healthy for him.
I love China

I think eating junk food once in a while is fine, just don't go crazy for it.

I eat way more than I should, but I can usually stop before finishing the whole bag. A few weeks ago I bought some kettle style potato chips that were so good. I just kept going back and getting more. Next day I was doing the same thing. I need more self-control.

It's natural with the junk foods that once you start eating, you can't resist. It can happen with any of your food item. Recently I read in an article that whenever you see your favourite junk food, it triggers the hormone( I don't remember the name), so the reason one can't resist.

Yes I admit I do that. Give me a bag of cookies and I cannot stop until I have each been half the bag or the whole thing. Or give me a bag of potato chips and I cannot stop until my fingers are scraping the bottom of the bag. For this reason I rarely have such snacks in the house because I recognize I have not the willpower to resist.
I do love chocolate and find that I eat a lot of it if I have it in the house so I rarely buy it.
Isn't it strange though you can never overeat when you have brocolli or carrots? There must be something in the vegetables that fill you up and it is missing in the snack foods like potato chips and cookies.
Can you count your potato chips as your vegetable servings for the day? Potatoes are vegetables, right?

I am one of those people that avoid junk food ever so well but then one day I end up having a peice of chocolate and end up eating the whole bar. Also Salt & Vinger Crisps/Chips... yum yum
Junk food is too addictive. In fact I swear Macdonalds french fries are seriously addictive, i love them.

I used to never like plain chips. About a year ago I started craving them!
Now to get rid of the craving, I allow myself a small bowl and make sure to savor each one! Otherwise I will eat everything else to try to get rid of the craving and still end up eating them!

Maybe you should try to buy the small package one so you can only eat that portion of the junk.

You are so right it is hard to eat just one of any type of junk food. I have learned to cut most of it out of my diet, for better health. I have a soft spot for chocolate, and eat it every once in a while, I have learned if i want something sweet to eat a piece of fruit.

I used to eat a lot of junk food. I think I was really crazy that keep putting rubbish into my mouth. But I dont like to eat junk food now except chocolate. Chocolate is the only food I always keep eating. Sometimes I even feel frustrated to find no chocolate in the refrigerator. It is so crazy. I think the only way you can eat less is not to eat. And so you wont keep eating and eating.

I have this problem, especially with chocolate. The best thing to do is just resist temptation in the first place, though, of course, that is easier said than done. I always try to buy smaller pack sizes so that when it's gone, it's gone. But that doesn't always work either - and I find myself just going out to buy some more!

Well, I used to be the junk food eater that couldn't stop no matter what I did. I would open a bag of potato chips and not be satisfied until the bag was gone. Then, when we recently moved, I decided that I wasn't going to buy junk food for at our house. We didn't have any junk food here for over three months and I've only now started bringing in junk food again. Now when we have junk food in the house it lasts for quite a while. I was able to change myself and my family from being the junk food eaters that cannot stop to the kind that only want to have a few bites of it to be satisfied.

I don't like eating junk food .And I also tell my family not to eat it especially my son because it's bad for our health .We should eat lots of vegetables and fruit .But sometimes you feel the junk food is delicious and you can't help eating it .So at the moment you must say "NO" to yourself .If you don't want to be fatter and don't want to be sick ,you must stop .
