I was paying 70 dollars a month on for a cell phone. Called to see what a house phone costs. I pay 10 dollars a month now for unlimited calling thru my house phone. I text thru aim so I'm not missing out on anything except me being able to picture message. People can still picture message me tho. So not too important.

Considering the fact that I heavily depend on my cell phone for work reasons, I'd say it's very important to me. I only have 1 cell phone but I pretty much do everything with it. Also, I don't use my house phone all that much. Only reason I have a phone line coming into my house is because I have DSL as an internet service & I'm thinking about having a fax machine put in the house soon. But then there's a service out there that I can have faxes come straight to my computer as well so I'm debating so far as to weather I'm gonna cut my house phone or not. Every so often, my daughter gets a phone call from her friend as well so I guess I'll keep it around for a while, at least until she's old enough to get a cell phone.

a cell phone is very important to me as I don't hav a landline. I do text on it and talk both, so it is very important. I can talk to my daugher on the computer, so I can see my grandson, but he does like to talk to grandma on the phone as he just got to know me not to long ago. He is only 3 and shy too. I could probabl do without a cell phone, but then I wouldn't have that communication with others when I am not home. I can't carry my computer with me like I can my cell phone. I take my cell phone with me everywhere I go so if someone needs to call me they can. I am not on my cell phone for hours either as I use it everyday, but for short periods of time and I do get text messages as well. Have a great day, and happy mylotting.

To me I think it is really important. You need to make sure that you are able to contact someone if there is an emergency and if someone needs to contact you because of an emergency. But others look at it much different.
