I am almost sure that you knew and watch the GMA-7 Presidentiable Unity Walk yesterday morning, and I think the project was successful. It was the first time that presidentiables and vice presidentiables go hand in hand for a common cause, and even swear that they will not cheat and will serve the country well if elected. Although the line up was not complete, I think majority of them are present.
However, I think that some of them are not true to their actions and I can see it their faces.
What's your opinion?
No hurting words, please.

I don't want to sound pessimistic but to me, this was all a form of hypocrisy. I don;t know, maybe the years of bearing witness to an election system that is filled with all these cheating and all promises that were left unfulfilled by presidentiables even after being elected into position has made me a non-believer. But this does not imply though that I am giving up on our country, I just hope that they'd do less of this show-offs and just act on their platform. More action and less talk, please...

I totally agree with you, that's exactly my point. All these politicians do is promise and talk but they're not reall doing these responsibilities and words that they have promised. People only see their kindness acts when election time is near, but whenever election is over..there they go again, just sitting drinking coffee, getting more money and leaving and not helping those ones whom they have promised they'll help. I really don't like the government system here in our country.

Honestly I don't believe in most of them, most of them swears and promises things but they don't actually show these in words. Their promises are just words and never put to actions.
In my opinion, most of them only wants a high position in government because of their own selfish reasons, like money and power. We really can't deny that only few people trust our government now a days because most of the officials only think of their own sake. Most of them don't really care about the people here in our country. They just want to rule and control people in the neck so people would look up to them and respect them eventhough most of them are corrupt and selfish.
I am a UP student that's why I know how politic in our country goes. I know and I've witnessed crimes done by the government. Government punishing innocent people the way they like.
In general speaking,I don't trust the government because of their selfish law and rules.I think that hand and hand walk thing is just a simple way to show that they are participating and just think of this, these politicians will do anything just to win in the election. If they have to join a lot more walks and parades they will do that, just to get th attention of the people.

I think that was the best avenue for us voters to see their real intentions to our country. If the candidates to be, seems not interested in joining that run then there is something wrong with them. That is an opportunity for them to really show themselves to the public. I guess GMA 7 did a good initiative of really showing that the people are eager to see change in 2010. This initiative is a good way to test and see how these future leaders would be in case they win their bid for presidency or vice presidency.

Unfortunately, I was not able to see the Presidentiable Unity Walk you mentioned. I doubt if all of them are sincere not to cheat and not to corrupt. Well, the fate of our country is in our hands, so let's be honest and sincere when voting next year, I already have my choice for President.
If Senator Noynoy Aquino will run for President, then he will be my bet. He has a charisma to lead the country for so many reasons:
1. The meaning of democracy and freedom forever stick in his system. As the only son of Ninoy, he knew more than anybody else how to live in a terrible condition under crazy leaders.
2. Integrity and honesty of good governance gripped in his mind as he was one of the closest child of Former President Aquino who had lived MalacaƱang for six years.
3. His intention to stay away from corruption and to serve the country with honest governance is burning in his system like a wild fire.
4. Among the Presidentiables, nothing seemed sincere and can be trusted, everybody has his own issue of corruption and controversy.

I didn't get to see this but now that I've learned of it from you, I wish I did. I'm glad that the presidentiables joined in a unity walk. I'm sure most of them joined it not for the cause but for politicking. We all know how shallow the promises of politicians are. Though I'm glad that they undertook such an event. If only they would be true to their words that they will not cheat during elections, then our country would be a lot better. However, knowing politicians, I doubt they are serious with their intentions to have honest and clean elections. They can never take "maybe" as an answer. That's why they cheat because they want to make sure that when the results are out, they are on top. That's the saddest part of Philippine elections. And the people are not good voters either!
