I am 49 and kiss and hug my mother. I demand my children do it. I would never want them to regret not having done it. My twin boys are the ones that I have to initiate the hugs and kisses first. They are goofballs. My daughters automatically will hug and kiss me.

I have 2 boys and they don't think twice about kissing or hugging me or anyother family member. But it is good to know that other families do this.

My family isn't that close, but when I see my father I usually give him a hug. My mother gets a kiss on the cheek on occasions, but it's rare. I wish things were different.

my dad's family wasn't real close..so he desided to change that with us kids. He told us that he loved us and hugged and kissed us. Now we don't even think about it. It has become a natural thing and we do it with our kids. Break the bad habits and start a good one with your kids (if you have them or when you have some).
