I know a this question of dilemma can be googled, and there are several theology, and theories behind it. People believe in science and evolution will choose differently compare to those believe in other theology.
I will choose the chicken came first. What do you think? Please share..

being that all life starts off young, as a baby i'm going to go with egg. nothing has ever started off as an adult and as it grew got younger.

It would have to be the chicken and a rooster because you need a chicken to fertilize an egg and if the egg came first there is just one and therefore no fertilization happens so there for its simply the chicken.

hi angel,
i think chicken came first, as what i have read on the bible GOD made the animals directly and not the eggs.. like the monkey, lion, snakes, birds etc.. like the time when Noah put all the animals on the ark and as what i have observed they are all animals by pair and no eggs after all. so it really proves that chicken came first and then eggs..
janebeth.

I already had this discussion. But still - the answers given to me by two children (yes under 15 geniuses) were - the 12 year old said - chicken because whatever was bird that existed before chicken from which the chicken evolved eventually was not chicen. The younger one said egg. When I asked him why - he said u didnt specify chicken's egg. U just said egg. So there were other animals that had eggs much before chicken came into picture. How do u count or discount that??? :-)

Hi, I think chicken would have come first. As only chicken can give eggs there is no point egg would have come first.

Hi sunstar, if someone believe in evolution, there is a point for egg come first. It just depends on what we believe in. May be when the end come, the truth will be revealed, the chicken or the egg wins =)

hi lucky, I believe in creation too.
Your 'rotten' egg is just funny.
According to evolution: non-chicken produce a true-chicken.. I don't want to laugh at this, else there will be a lot of scientists and their supporters come and flame me later.
**I may not good in Science, but I have faith in God :)

ok look at it this way what are the chances that the egg could hatch on its own give itself food and water and survive to make ah nothing cause there'd have to be at least 2 of them 1 male 1 female like so my vote is with the chicken
