I enjoy doing the sudoku puzzle in our daily newspaper, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. There would be a puzzle located in the style section next to the comics 6 days a week.
Today, September 1, I opened to the comics to find some changes. The comics are arranged differently, there are 2 crossword puzzles instead of one and the Heloise column and other things are moved around. Worst, the Sudoku puzzle is missing!
I searched every page of the paper and can't find it anywhere.
Why must the newspaper mess with a format that was working. I liked things the way they were and I'm really going to miss my daily sudoku.

My daughter, who was about 10 or 11 years old at the time, started doing the sudoku puzzles. At first I was confused
and didn't think I could figure it out. But one day I sat watching her and her grandmother work the puzzle and I finally got it.
She even got a hand held sudoku game, but I think it is not working anymore.

Changes eh? Maybe if you write a "dear editor" letter letting them know that the old format was better than the new one, they'll reconsider. I know with printed newspapers and what-not, the editors are always in-touch with their readers.
If you must really have your daily sudoku - I'm sure you can find lots of them online. When I was in college - I loved sudoku from the college newspaper. When I graduated - I had to get my sudoku fixed somewhere else. Now I don't play anymore - that's why I think my mind isn't as sharp. =/
