Noisy customers in a cafe. How do you deal with them?

My family had a coffee break at a cafe. While we were waiting for our orders, a group of youngsters were sitting next to our table. They were shouting, moving around and laughing aloud that won't miss everyone's attention. I was patient so I was not able to do something. We just wanted to finish our coffee and look for some place quiet. What could you suggest when you encounter these kind of people who think they own the place?

Hi stevelvis That kind of group often come to the cafe and break all te peaceful and quiet atmosphere there. This was happened to me when I was doin my task and wanna relax with family. Really, we can't complain to them because cafe is a public place. I give them sharp look, but they ignore me and I was afraid they will come to me. So I finished my chocolate as soon as I can and leave that cafe. Maybe you can choose certain cafe that rarely visited by this kind of noisy customer, or talk to the servant or manager there. Maybe the manager can ask them to be more quiet. But not all manager will do it, they can lose them (they are cafe's customer too and how if they spread bad rumours to their friends about that cafe?) So I think the best things to do is to look first the cafe's atmosphere before enter and if there are noisy customers in that cafe and it's disturb you, better to finish your drink and leave that place

These kind of people are around everywhere. Youngsters often tend to be noisy when they're enjoying themselves; even if they were not rowdy, they can't help making a lot of noise when with their friends. Some do it purposely, others do it to show they are enjoying themselves, yet others do it to show-off. But sometimes it can also happen that they themselves do not know they're being noisy or disturbing others. The best way to deal with this situation is to give one of them a sharp look. But if they look really troublesome, its better to quietly talk to the cafe owner or manager and ask them to somehow bring some order. It's their responsibility afterall, to take care of customers. Anyway, happy mylotting. Hope this helped.

That is troublesome. If you have not ordered already, its better to go to a different cafe. If you're planning to approach the troublemakers themselves, you should be careful not to use sarcasm, or frown when talking directly. This will surely make the situation worse. Like you said, approaching the cafe mangers may just get you an apologetic smile, as both you and the loud youngsters are paying customers - he may not be able choose unless its a high class restaurant. This kind of discomfort is far too common - like when a person talks on his mob too loudly. The only thing one can do is bear it.
