Are you a business person, a doctor, a psychiatrist, a warehouseman, a retail worker?

I'm an R.N. (registered nurse) who has worked ICU/CCU, dermatology, OB/GYN, same day surgery, school nurse and, mostly, E.R. I retired two years ago though so that I could spend time with my pets, work on our home and travel on business with my husband.

I have dreams to become an R.N. I've heard so many mixed feelings towards it. I have a strong desire to help people and feel that nursing would be a career that would help fill this void. I envy you.

Nursing is a wonderful profession and very rewarding. You can even choose to work in a specialty. Some will require additional training but that is provided by your place of employment and can be on the job training or involve attending seminars and classes. Specialties that require additional training are: ICU, CCU, OR, neonatal and ER. I wish you luck with your career choice!
P.S. Thanks for the best response!
