What Do You Think Any benifits of school uniforms?

I think that There is no need of School Uniforms.

School uniform can be beneficial due to the many different fashions. Kids sometimes do not fit in for not having the designer clothes are their personal style causes others to not even bother to know the person. On the other side, it does not allow the child to express their individuality. Or the school uniforms could cost more than the parent's allowance for that year's back to school budget. While some ask, "What's a Back to School budget? You have one?" School uniforms has it's pros and cons.

uniforms must be abolished... for identity we have identity cards.. so what is the need for it..

i'm actually all for uniforms in schools. i think it's a good idea and i always wanted one when i was in school. i think kids would make fun of other kids less. there wouldn't be compatition of who has the best label or who can wear the hottest skankiest clothes.

its so much cheesy to wear school uniforms... But I think it would kinda induct discipline in kids... kids w/o school uniforms are a lot mischievious and they take the school for granted... kids in uniforms look more matured...I used to wear school uniform in India... after coming to USA, I kinda felt more free to do stuff, but i would look more disciplined when I wear school uniforms... I love school uniforms...

the benefits of school uniforms is that one learns to be disciplined and well dressed, it teaches the first rule to be in manners

I guess there is 2 ways to look at it...when your a kid you dont want to wear them because there so ugly...but if you think of less fortunite familys that cant afford regular clothing it will help those kids blend in a little bit more. Also you dont have to spend an hour to get ready for school, and you spend less money on school clothes!

It makes one feel a more student feeling.It is because when someone wears a uniform he/she automatically stands for his/her alma mater.In addition one does not need to think of what to wear.Also s feeling of unity amongst students develop.

I do not think there are any benefits to uniforms. I think the schools should let students dress in any way they want! That way, personal expression is possible. With uniforms, I feel like I am a total conformist under a communist regiment. If anything, uniforms should be abolished.
