OMG!! Snake in my silverwear drawer!!

I am so freaked out right now! I opened my silverwear drawer for a fork and there was a SNAKE drapped across the entire drawer! I screamed like a banshee and ran after my husband. Thank goodness it was a small one, but OMG! It's about 2 1/2 feet long, or so. We aren't sure what kind it is. My dad is coming over to see if he knows. All I know is that I am seriously buying out all of Walmart's moth balls and steel wool because I don't want his mamma coming in!!

Sounds like you are not afraid of snakes either..they don't scare me,
neither do mice. spiders, bugs , wasps...now they can make me RUN ! lol

Believe it or not, the only critter I'm terrified of is crayfish. I have no idea why. I have a pet snake, I've had hermit crabs as pets in the past, and hamsters. I've handled bats, scorpions, beetles and spiders with no problems. I love bees and dream of being a beekeeper someday. But, wow, I totally run away screaming from crayfish. Thank goodness they don't fly.

I cannot imagine, and would be Freaking for sure. I just would never want to see this either, and Glad you husband was there, and someone is going to help you as well. Wishing you the Best.

OMG I would have a heart attack 
I am so scared of snakes, that would just be so scary, id be scared to open the drawer the next time 
. Luckily where we live, there's not any snakes. Buy anything you can to ward off those scary,ugly,slinky things

That would have be a very scary experience! Do you normally have snakes around where you live, like in the woods or garden? I don't know what I would do if I were to see something like that. And honestly, 2 1/2 feet does not sound very small to me, especially to be in your drawer. Is the snake still there or has it been removed?

I just checked where you're from, just to make sure it won't be coming to my silverware drawer anytime soon. If it were me, I would probably pass out. I hate those reptile things. I know they probably don't bite but eck! No thanks.

wonder what kind it is,hopefully not poison !
I am not afraid of snakes or mice, but
it still would have made me jump because
even if it's a bug you find ..it is unexpected.
Thank God it did not bite you.
Maybe it's just a garden snake?

Well, at least it wasn't in your panty drawer - I mean your pantry... ?
That would really freak me out - especially since there are snakes in my neighborhood and I think the chances are above average.
I wasn't aware that moth balls worked to fend off snakes, and the steel wool? Hmmmm. I'll need to research this.
