My Summerslam 2009 Experience

It's been over a week now since I saw Summerslam 2009 Live with some pals. Absolutely amazing experience. We made a couple of signs, but I doubt any of them actually made it to air since we were seated near the entrance. We sat in front of the two guys who started the "Let's go Ziggler!" chants. I started the 619 chants for the little kids who were seated around me. Then my friends and I joined in for the "Let's Go Ziggler" chants. The matches delivered, except Khali and Kane. Should have started a "We want Kofi" chant during that match. Crowd was definitely not feeling it. The Cena vs. Orton match was crazy. At one point I didn't know who to chant for so I just started standing up saying, "I hate Orton. No WAIT! I hate Cena!" in Homer Simpson style. Fans around me enjoyed that outburst. I figured the fan jumping in had to be some kind of work with all the constant restarts. The CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy TLC Match had everybody on their feet and showed how much these two men will go through to entertain the fans. I predicted Undertaker would make a return, but my friend said, "We'll see." Well he did hear the bell ring and he saw the Undertaker choke slam Punk. Feeling the heat from that fire I could only imagine how hot it was for the Undertaker to stand in the middle of it. Overall it was one of the most awesome and fun experiences of my life, but I don't think I could be one of those guys that tries to make it to every event possible.

Lucky you! I saw a Smackdown! and ECW show in Bakersfield, California with my son. It was right after the draft so a lot of the superstars got traded and what not. I've seen two shows live now and they were both pretty good. I have yet to see Randy Orton or Cena, I'm sure I would be hoarse from yelling the day after.

I know what you mean. Soon as I got back home my throat was really sore. Needed a warm cup of tea right away.

its great to hear that you enjoyed yourself at summerslam. i didn't even know the ppv had occured until i watched raw last night. i haven't been watching wrestling as much since many of the stars i grew up watching retired but i would still like to go to a wwe ppv once in my lifetime and i will be sure to do that. i would had liked to see orton vs. cena. lol, the undertaker is always returning but than again hes been around 19 years so i've watched so much of him on tv. i remember him at his first ppv. ironically it was the first wwe ppv i wanted to order but the stoneage cable company at the time didn't offer wrestling ppvs.

I hope you get to experience it, elmiko. Maybe we'll be at the same one sometime.
