If Nonoy Aquino will run for president, who will be his closest opponent?

This early evening, news said Noynoy will have a press conference and more or less he will announce his intention to run for president next year.
Yesterday, Mar Roxas announced his withdrawal and his full support to Noynoy. He even recommended all the opposition candidates to do the same.
With the charisma of Noynoy today and the fresh heroic activities of his parents, I know his opponents will have a hard time beating him. But I think Manny Villar will make a good fight.
For you, who will be Noynoy Aquino's closest opponent?
No hurting words, please? ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

I must agree that it takes a world celebrity to beat Senator Noynoy's popularity and charisma to the public because of his good background and integrity as a politician, not to mention his credible and magical pedigree. It will be very hard for other Presidential hopefuls to match his charisma to the public, even Senator Mar Roxaz already sacrificed his ambition because he is completely aware that the public wanted Ninoy to be Liberal Party's standard bearer.
Back to your question, I think Noli De Castro will be Noynoy's closest opponent. They have on the same level of popularity and the vice president has a clean image too with no issues attached. If ever De Castro will run under the administration ticket, they will have a good fight.

hello fatherblogger,
Since Mar Roxas announced that he will no longer run for Presidency and incase Noynoy will, I think his closest opponent will be Manny Villar.
May the best man win and hope and pray that he will run the country for the good of it's people for we deserve to have a good leader. Someone who has a good heart and intention.

just like you im thinking of Senator Villar...and for me he is really a strong opponent...i think...
maybe it will be better if he will run with Chiz Escudero as a running mate...hehe but i feel like Chiz is still young for running as vice and there's still many other around...hmmmbut that's just what im thinking hehe coz i personally like chiz and a little for Villar...
but don't forget that de castro is still there...
i think it will be nice if the opposition and the administration will just have one candidate for the position ...as in one on one....haha

Hi there!
I think so, Manny Villar will be Noynoy Aquino's closest opponent if ever Noynoy will decide to run for presidency. Survey's shows that Villar is the leading presidentiable before the issue of Noynoy, Villar has his money and fame, had build up himself as his intention to run has been known publicly for a long time. Erap (2nd from the surveys) is also famous but knowing his previous track record as former president would restrain the Filipino people to put him back again on the limelight. Good Day!

Noynoy aquino is an easy choice for president at this time when people still feel sympathy to his parents and family. popular support is pouring on his favor. he is a strong and formidable presidential candidate at this time. but the election is still far. people's sympathy may change. and this is where manny villar can beat noynoy. i think the two will be in a tough head-to-head race to malacanang. but if chiz escudero joins the race, i will likely support him. he can pull a surprise. he is the dark horse in the race.
