What's the warning about?

"A top Republican senator warned Tuesday that if Democrats try to overhaul health care without Republican support, "it will wreck our health care system and wreck the Democratic Party." Wouldn't wrecking the Democratic Party be every Republican's dream? And, honestly, wouldn't it be every "third" party's dream? Is this suppose to be some real warning or some type of reverse psychology? Any thoughts? http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

"Wouldn't wrecking the Democratic Party be every Republican's dream?" No, not at all. Many republicans know and understand that we need different parties with different points of view, whether we agree with them or not. Besides, you seem to be strangely ignoring the other half of what he said that it would "wreck our health care system". Have you thought that maybe this guy doesn't want our health care system ruined even if it does come with a ruined opposing party? What he said he said to appeal to all people (wreck health care), and specifically moderate democrats (wreck the Democratic party). Besides, I fully believe that if Obama rams this bill through it will ruin him AND many in the democratic party. I still oppose it because I care more about a functional health care system than I do one party or the other.

Taskr, would you please explain to me how it can wreck our health care system when we haven't even see a final bill? Have we all forgotten that the bank bail bill from a year ago went from a few page bill to some ungodly amount of pages? That bill went from bailing out banks only to bailing out the banks and building wooden arrows and everything in between. Remember Chicken Little talking about how the sky was falling?

Hey Z,The fact is if HR 3200 got through the senate,Obama would have signed it! It is a horrible bill. We Conservatives pointed that out and stopped it. One more thing, you have no right to take away my FREEDOM. Obama polling at 42%? What's going on? The people are learning who he REALLY is,not the crap he said to get elected. His views match the 5% of people in this country that classify themselves as very liberal. Many democrats don't agree with him. I have no beaf with democrats,I only oppose the Communist/Socialist/Progressive nutjobs.

Dude I really have no idea what your problem is but, stop telling me about how I'm trying to tell you how to live your life and blah blah blah about your freedoms because you just told me to move to Cuba, now who exactly is telling who what to do with their life?? Sorry Taskr I was actually being serious about the question I asked you.

How is it possible to wreck our health care system anymore? It is already the most expensive in the world, and not the best. If our health care system was Wal-Mart, they would be out of business in a year. If we had more options, our country would be in better financial shape.
