Cops taking advantage of what so called "POWER"?

Do you really think that police men are harsh? I mean not all of 'em but mostly are taking advantage of their power. Let's say, they made a mistake and eventhough you're going to fight for your right which they found out that you were right, they're still gonna push it just because they don't want to accept their own mistakes because they're respectable police men. Do you get me?
