I love both Chinese and Japanese food! There is a lot of similarity between the two, with the cooking style and ingredients. Probably the only thing that really separates the two is that some Japanese food are served raw. To my knowledge, Chinese cooking doesn't usually serve anything raw. Though I am Chinese, I am no expert in the culinary arts, so I will stand corrected if somebody tells me otherwise LOL! At home though, my parents would not stand for anything served raw. Ingredients-wise there are a lot of similarities, like noodles, rice, and tofu, but the way they are made or cooked are different.

I am a chinese, and i like both chinese food and japanese food .in terms of difference between them, the first is the material.chinese food use a lot of vegetables ,meat, and grease etc, japanense food use many materials from sea, such as
fish ,kelp etc.the second is the ways of cooking, you know there are decades of ways for cooking chinese food, example fry, boil, poach, scramble,it makes the unique taste of chinese food.and the japanese food are cooked by the ways of eating raw .i think there are many difference between them ,and they all have unique character,so you can cook and taste them by yourself ,you must have some extraordinary profit.
