i doubt his capacity coz he is a silent type. i don't hear much accomplishments or get himself to an anomaly either.. but having a clean record seems to be enough compared to those high profile politicians known for being corrupt and doing too much noise to get attentions. besides, being the son of ninoy and cory aquino is a big thing and we can expect much from him than any other presidentable candidates. for me, he is the best choice.i'll vote for him rather than erap anyway.

i've ive already met some corrupt poltiticians and they are very approachable and soft spoken in person. of course. you may never know someone that much unless you live with that person under the same roof.

truth to tell, i think he's he's still a greenhorn to become the next president. he may have the pedigree and unsoiled reputation compared to other politicians, but he needs more experience and to have a "louder voice" if he wants to become president. i admit, the "cory magic" is still there, but would that be enough to make him deserving of the highest position in our government? maybe if i see him play a more active role in the senate and do something positive for the country this early, then he might have a fighting chance. that's just my two-cents.

you're right. it's just that there is no other better choice aside from him. i don't want erap to be the president again and villar is also not that "palaban" either.

that's true, though. at this point in time we're left with no good choice. but there's still a few months before the 2010 elections. hopefully there will be someone who'd stand out.

I think, Noynoy is the best choice there is in the coming elections. I'm tired of traditional politicians, who are so corrupt and doesn't seem to know that they are. Being a good speaker, doesn't guarantee his capabilities to run a clean and upright government. And I think that he wouldn't do anything to taint his parents' legacy to our country.

I think most of us have the same idea, and Noynoy himself admits that he knows the problems he will face. But then, the late president Cory Aquino did well enough to create an image that having no bad record is the best way to gain trust from the public. If Noynoy will be the next president, I think he will have a calm president. However, I am not sure if he can control the corrupt people around him, and if he will have great ideas on how to improve our economy, in which Manny Villar seems to be ahead of him with regards to this aspect. Thanks!

The problem here is on how you run your country. Its not enough living a clean record as a politician if you don't know how to run the country. whats the use having a clean president, if he doesn't know how to boost economy. Should Noy rely on his adviser and cabinet,I don't know, corrupt will come from different parts (his people). We need strong leader, right now I don't know if there is. Villar is good president for economic boost, at least he has a plus point. The only Noy has a advantage over the others is his (most or some people say is being a honest politician), but I don't think its enough to solve our major problem.

Hello cainam. I think Noynoy will be a great choice for President because like what have you said, he is the son of the great couple Mr. and Mrs. Aquino. He does not have any of those accomplishments and anomaly because he is not that famous rather, he wants to live a simple life. I bet he will really earn a lot of votes especially that the sympathy of people is on his hands. Whoever wins the election for President, i hope he would be a great and fair leader. This position is a very heavy responsibility that it requires a strong character and wise leadership so that our country will continue to rise from the heap of trash we are living in. I would definitely say, "No to any forms of corruption." *which is very impossible*

i think ninoy is good for president. In my analysis, he even have a family of himself, how can he manage the whole country. He has no background as manager. For me, Bayani Fernando may be good but i'm still searching him. He has a political well. Look at MNDA he impose what is in the law. I hope he can manage the whole country.

Having integrity is Noynoy's best advantage in the Presidential race. Even though a lot of people is unsure whether Cory and Ninoy's only son could carry the biggest responsibilities of being the chief executive of the country, Noynoy's capabilities should not be doubted. I was nine years old when his father assassinated in 1983, but since then I was following the Aquinos' journey into Philippine politics, though we don't hear much about Noynoy, he has a fair share of good image too. Noynoy maybe cannot match the oratorical skills of his father, but when he spoke it is always with conviction, his words are always full of love of the country and his earnest desire to make this land a better place to live in free from corruption and misery. He always defended moral virtues, I remember how he hated his younger sister Kris's attachment to married men uttering words that he wanted his youngest sister to settle down in moral facade with dignity. He always took pride of Philippines' potentials and like his mother longed for a democratic governance with sense of freedom.

I doubt his capacity to lead.I think he is just being propelled as presidential candidate because of his parents' legacy.I don't really believe in the saying 'the fruit doesn't fall from the tree'.just because he is ninoy and cory's son he will make a good leader.

Hi Cainam! I believe the qualities like of Noynoy is needed to defeat the traditional politics which is the main source of corruption and bad governance. Who is better to inherit the Ninoy and Cory mantle of leadership than one with the genes of Ninoy and Cory. Noynoy like Cory who has integrity, who haven't been involved in any single scandal is the best virtue of a key leader as compared to other presidentiables. Experience wise, Noynoy has much better preparation for leadership than Cory when she took the reign as he has been a three-term congressman and now a senator. Cory as we all know was a housewife without any previous experience in government or in politics but she made a history that no one has ever made. And so, there's no doubt that Noynoy can live up with the legacy his parents had left for the Filipino people. Cheers!

a low profile senator in a high profile society. not bad for a thought. still, whether we like it or not, politicking is the same as business. u market urself to the people. u convince people that u are a very worthy product to be availed of--- service. how? :)

i think there will be no good enough president for filipinos, for all the politicians are still human beings.they cant be perfect and might possess some flaws from other people's views.they might do something for the benefit of our some countrymen and may left others to nowhere.and for noynoy aquino, maybe he is still half baked to become our president but lets not forget his mother and our late president cory aquino herself, was a first timer in politics when she became our president.to lead our sinking country, experience is just a second requirement.for me its the pure and honest motive of a leader that count most.

Noy noy would be a good president. By genes he got really good one.By character he's the most unassuming. By experience he has all the available space to learn. Unfortunately would he really win the kind of election that will be coming? So let us be on guard.

We had witnessed two of the most important events that happened in the Philippines in almost three decades. Firstly, the martyrdom of Ninoy that ignited the anger of the Filipino people and secondly, the selfless acceptance of Cory to challenge the formidable regime. You may notice that there was one thing in common in these two occasions. They both came out from their comfort zones to respond to the call of the Filipino people for the restoration of Philippine Democracy. And in this very moment, I remember Ninoy saying that he shall dedicate the last drop of his blood for the dismantlement of martial law in our country. So, in our present era, the history is repeating itself in the person of Noynoy as he remains to be undecided whether to stay in his comfort zone or to heed the call of Filipino people. If he decided to run as president, I would like to believe that he would be a good president by just being true to the legacy of his parents.

I think Cory started that way too. She was a simple housewife back then and has no political background or experience to share with the public. But, when she was given the chance to lead, she work it out well and is even remembered to be a good leader. Of course there were those that tried to topple her administration thinking that she would give in but then she stayed in power till the end of her term. She could have ran for another term due to a technicality when her administration successfully changed the constitution which gave her the chance to run for the second term since she has taken oath under the old constitution but, she never took that advantage at all. With Noynoy that is exactly what is happening in his life. He is being urged by many to run like her mother. Although he has very little experience on his hands right now but, it could be like her mother before, he has the power to unify a nation so fragmented at the moment. I could not see any other politician that has that charisma and influence. I just hope that he can cope like her mother before. Despite her lack of experience and skills to govern a country was able to restore democracy and has somehow brought freedom back to the Filipino People.

Becoming president of a country is a big task. Being the son of two famous people is not a sure fire thing that he will win in the next presidential elections. I am not sure if I would vote for Noynoy, even if he were the son of President Cory and my idol, Ninoy Aquino. He may not be ready for it. I think that it is best that he finishes his term as Senator and runs for higher office if he really wants to.

There's no telling what he's capable of. He's a very silent type of person and his record of corruption is zero. His name is very clean as of the moment and I really believe that he is very well capacitive in handling the country forming again the Philippines into one of the leading country in the world.
