I was in shock today when I read in the news that Michelle Duggar is expecting her 19th child in spring 2010.
This is unbelievably... hero-mother and hero-father. The family is already famous for the amount of kids they have, but it looks like they are not going to stop to surprise the nation.
As far as I know the father owns a few lands around his hometown, so I hope the family is not a heavy burden to him, but still I think that is a real bravery in our times to have produced 18 children already.
Ok, let's wish them good luck and hope they will still beat the record with number 20 lol.

Somebody stop that Lady!
I would Sue that woman for population explosion if she were in my country.
She must be really strong for bearing labor pain for the 19th time.
And what to say about her man of wonder. The V-Pill factory must be making huge profits out of him.
Good Luck to them for the 20th!

Yeah lol!
Bathroom must be a big problem out there. If he doesn't have enough money to get a bigger house and same stuff for all children, then it would be war taking place at his house. When his kids would fight, the cops would declare it a GANG WAR! I just cant imagine how the poor lady must be running after the 18 kids at the time of lunch and dinner.
The family would become a town in itself!

Definitely the more the merrier here. I wonder how old the eldest one is and the youngest one currently. Must be cool, but just wondering how do they manage to take care of their current 18 children. Definitely a handful there. Last time it used to be like that; during my grandma's time, people have 8-10 children and more. Nowadays, rarely see that; either 1 or 2 and most is 3 or 4. I wouldn't be surprised if there will be baby number 20, lol..

Yes, nowadays that is a real record. My grandfather lived in a big family, as far as I know, with 12 sisters and a brother - 14 kids alltogether, but that was 70 years ago, before WW2 even. Now if a family has 3-4 that is already a lot.

I’ve had one child and I am exhausted! (LOL) Nineteen! Gosh, I can’t imagine giving birth that many times let alone taking care of them all. I guess they must eat dinner in shifts unless they have a really big dining table! Which leads me to wonder how much the family’s grocery bill is every week and how many carts are required on every shopping expedition.
I believe that God sends so many children only to the special people who can cope with them and have a special gift for child caring.
I definitely wish them all the luck in the world, I couldn’t do it...

Not all that long ago, an announcement was made that they werew also expecting a grandchild! Personally, I could not imagine having that many children of my own. I think that this family has done a wonderful job raising these kids though and as long as they are still capable of raising their kids, far be it for me to say anything negative.
Hmmm...I wonder...keeping with their "J" names, I wonder what they will name this one.

If the daughter manages to keep up with the mother, I believe there can be a hundred of 'J' kids in the family with all the children and grand children.

I think they are fond of getting more kids for their own and they really enjoy growing them up.Since they don't have any financial problem, they will not face any hardships to tackle the family expenditures.I am concerned about how the siblings feel about each other.Do you know how they welcome the new baby every time?

I do not know how they welcome each 'newbie', but it is funny that they are for some reason give 'J' names to their kids:Jana, Joshua,Jinger, Joseph, Justin, Jason...etc. Funny-)

I think this family is kind of nuts. By having that many children how can you give one child all the attention it deserves and needs?? Growing up with be very difficult I would imagine, of course their show on TLC makes them out to be "perfect," but I think deep down a lot of these kids are not happy, and I don't think it's right to glorify your children like that!

I do not believe that they are really unhappy, because if you are born and raised in a huge community, where everyone sticks together, you can' feel lonely. They are like an autonomous society I believe, but I am sure they are as lonely and unhappy as people in our society who maybe do not have families at all.

Wow that is incredible. I can't believe she is having another baby. Didn't she just have number 18 a few months ago? Those people are like rabbits lol. I think it is great as long as they can provide for all those kids. It is a little weird though because I think one of her older kids is married and just had a kid, so her child will be born an aunt or uncle to her older kids child. I wonder if her kids will want big families too. If they all populate like that the world will become overrun with Duggar's lol.

Wow, very productive. . . I was 35 when I my only daughter was born and i'm 38 now but still has no 2nd baby. .. I wouldn't be expecting for more. I am glad I have one. .. The 19 children is a blessing but the parents should make should that they can raise will their children. Many kids in the family may be fun but the fianncial aspect isn't fun at all.

I know the oldest child and his wife are expecting a baby of their own or they've had it. That means the baby will be younger than its niece or nephew!
God blessed that woman with a ton of patience, that's for sure!

Yes, I saw a few of their programmes and I'm not really surprised that she's still having children. Their philosophy is that they'll have as many children as god sends them, so they might go way beyond 20! They also figure that as they make enough money to support themselves and are very frugal in the way that they live, there isn't any reason not to have a load of children.
I agree that the world is quite overpopulated and there isn't enough food to go round and that lots of resources are getting scarce, but when you look at how they live (buying second-hand clothes, being energy-efficient etc..) then maybe they're not having that negative an impact on the planet and the world.
Michelle Dugger must indeed be a very strong woman to carry and give birth to all of those kids. She must be as strong as an ox, ! I found that having just one baby had such a big impact on my body and my strength and energy! She is lucky to have so many, and admirable to be raising so many at the same time!

Wtf was that?oh god 18 children alread and now 19?, i think this is enough to raise a lot of population of their country and state, arent they warned by government to stop reproduction?i mean this is serious case because we all are throwing the policy of one child per family but here its been into silver century after few more. Its really sad to see but even worth praising because 19th and even might be 20 needs a lot of courage and strength. :p
yes wish them luck.

This 'one child policy' is all B***S***. It is propaganda. There are people and organizations in the world who think that the Earth is overpopulated and wand to diminish the amount of inhabitants until there is max. 1 billion left. But it goes wrong now, because it is not us whom they have to scare with these policies, it is those folks in Asia and Africa who are reproducing like crazy. The policy should be applied to them!

This family is a very wonderful family. I read they have never been in debt. They built there house as they had the money. They also are very faithful in god. They look like a very happy family. The children are well raised and help out a lot. They seem stress free. They should be an example for people who complain for just a couple of kids. They have no money problems and are very happy so I see nothing wrong with them. I hope god is with them on this next child and everything goes good for them. They are truthfully a very loving and friendly family.

If you read up on them it is a religion thing. Some christians believe when god is ready for you to stop having children you will. And they have the means and the patience to take care of the children. I dont think its about money from tv either because they already had a lot of children before any of the tv stuff. I guess there oldest son and his wife are going to do the same.

That's a lot of kids! Financially, it must be tough for the family, but imagine how the mother must feel. Physically and emotionally she must be worn out! Has this family ever heard of birth control? It's almost as if they have all these kids for the attention. You see people cutting down the Octamom for having all of her kids, but people like this keep having kids and people cheer. I think it is a double standard. Honestly, these people are having kids to exploit their family and get the attention of the nation as well as financial support. Think about it...how much are they getting paid every time their family is on television. Don't praise these people if you are also going to put down others for the same exact thing.

I think its wrong to have that many kids and there should be a law or something to where she should have been made to stop after a certain number. Just because "God allows someone to have that many kids" doesnt mean they have to have that many. And the oldest sons wife said shes doing the same thing, no birth control just having as many as she can. Id hate to be the older kids in that family cause theres so many kids they have to spend their time taking care of the younger ones cause the parents cant handle them all at once. But whatever its their life do what you gotta do.

I know what you mean! I actually used to watch the show for a while, but I don't know, I guess it wasn't drama-filled at all, so I got kind of bored watching it lol, oops! I can't believe she is pregnant again! Well, they don't believe in birth control, so who knows, they might have kids until she isn't able to anymore!!! lol

Wow, thats not a family, thats a small village...lol...
If that is what they want then good luck to them, what a strong lady! The thought of having one terrifies me frankly, and 20 would be my worst nightmare.
I admire anyone who is a good mother, whether of two or twenty.
