Have you ever wondered why a newborn child dream's? I have wondered all of my life why babies have dream's. From the moment that my son was born, I watched his face, he was dreaming and he was smiling, laughing, and even had an angry look on his face once all within hour's of being born. So when my oldest daughter was born I watched her, the same thing. The same thing with my youngest. What make's babies dream? If they have not experienced life yet then how can they laugh at something when they are only 1 or 2 hour's old? Could it be from another life? Could it be from being around God?

Hi Lacey,
I believe in affirmation of your last question. I do believe that when a baby is born, in his or her earliest days, they are (mentally) in connection with God. The concept that life begins at conception bases that as soon as that egg is fertilized, that child's spirit is then born. Where is it before it is born? My personal belief, although there is no evidence of it, is that the child's spirit resides in Heaven. If the kingdom of Heaven belongs to the children, as Jesus said, why would babies themselves not play a vital role in the popluation of heaven?
The night after my son passed away (during birth) I had a dream. My dream replayed the whole birthing process, where he was born double footling breech, but during the dream, I was given an added bonus...not only did I see his delivery as he was brought down to the bed, where they began CPR, but I also saw, overlayed, another pair of hands that separated from the midwife's hands after he came out. While the midwife brought him down to the bed, these hands the other him, the spirit upwards... The hands were not connected to any body I could see, but I was able to see the scars in the wrists.
I was weeping when I woke up. Like I said, I believe babies have a very special place in God's heart, so I have no qualms about believing that their spirits reside in heaven, play with God, even run in beautiful fields up there...
it is these beautiful minds in such fragile bodies that hold the true secrets of life in the universe...

I am so sorry for your loss, I have a strange feeling that when we die that we go to heaven for a short time, and then we are reborn into a new life. Yet while there in heaven we do get to spend time with God.

In south India, we used to say that when a child smiles or laughs in her dreams, God is playing with him/her by showing a flower!
But my personal belief based on Hinduism's concept of rebirth is that at that tender age, the child gets dreams based on its acts, feelings, emotions, impressions related to its previous birth. They get manifested in the dreams only and as the child grows, its impressions of the previous births fade away, only to be replaced by what it sees and hears here, in this birth.

This is sort of what I believe in that we are all reborn again, there is just something about it. It just seems right to me that we have all had a previous life before, especially when we see babies smiling and even puppies and kittens doing things, and dreaming. I do know they say that animals, don't go to heaven, but maybe they are all reborn again.
