The movie takes place in South Africa and it is the story about an alien race that was forced to live on earth as their spaceship would not start. These aliens start to wreck havoc in the nearby villages as they scavenge and steal food. The humans start to get annoyed and start calling them derogatory terms.
Well I won't spoil the movie for you guys. I personally really liked this movies as it was different for the other movies that I have ever watched. It is not your typical alien more as it focuses more on humans and aliens trying to coexist. Some people however said that they did not like the movie as I guess it was because the movie started out slow but picked up quickly after.

I like this movie eventhough like you said it started out slow and pick up quickly after that but still it is very good.I hope that there will be a second movie for it.I really want to see Wikus turn to human,and i hope that it would be more than just better from the first one.

Do you still remember at last the prawn promised Wikus he would come back to cure him.
And the movie didn't tell us if Wikus was killed by government. The whereabouts of Wikus was unknown.
The episode carries a foreshadowing of what is to follow later on in the sequel.
Actually I don't like this movie. ^_^
I felt uncomfortable when I saw the inspect-like aliens.

Everyone I talked to about this movie has told me is it absolutely amazing. For a low budget movie, I was pretty impressed by the previews. I have still yet to see it.
