I am on a quest to find a bunch of anime movies which are suitable for my younger children to watch. I have watched Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky and I am searching for more. The only trouble is that I have no idea where to start. If there is anyone here on mylot that could help me out I would be forever greatful. I need to find some movies before this weekend as we are going away and the kids need something to watch in the car ride so that they don't get bored. Unfortuatley they are only interested in anime right now and I am all out of ideas. Please help.

Look for the Doraemon movies. Its honestly the best anime for kids to watch. Pokemon is pretty good as well.

I searched this Doraemon and could not find it at the library. There were some online movies to watch and they looked great. Thanks Azn.

Hmmm...basically anything by Studio Ghibli is suitable for younger children. A really good one is My Neighbor Totoro. That's a classic children's movie. If it comes down to it you can always go with the Pokemon movies. I'd just stick with the first few movies though. The later ones aren't as good.

There's Ponyo in theatres right now- it's by the same writer/director of Spirited Away and Castle in The Sky.
I'd also suggest My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Servie and Princess Monoke [that one's kinda violent, though] that are also by the same writer director.

Howls moving castle, Pom Poko, The Cat Returns. You could always do a search for the director or producer but then check for ratings. Maybe they would watch Pokemon, Teen Titans or Avatar.
