Things are changing so much with technology and software - I wonder what will really work best in the future. I'm taking about things like microsoft office. If you need a word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation software, you can do one of three things now:
1) You can buy the software for each computer you have.
2) You can download and use free open source software like Open Office on your computers.
3) You can use free web applications like Google Apps from any computer, laptop or netbook that is attached to the internet.
It's nice that there are more free options but I wonder if they work as well as software that you pay for and get support for.
What are you going to do in the future for your "office" type software needs?
Buy? Download "open source" software for free. Use web apps for free?

Hey,
I honestly don't know what they will offer for Office software in the future, but all I know is that they will keep improving the Office software that you pay for, such as Office 2010. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

I just tried Office 2010 technical preview and its more than awesome.. its available for free download.. Microsoft Office14 AKA Office 2010 is more than a office tool.. and so much better and faster than office 2007..
just download and install it and trust me you wont feel like uninstalling it..
and i have tried openoffice, after you use Microsoft office you wont feel like using open office and its slow..
