With the season premiere less than two weeks away, I wonder if anyone else is geared up for an all-new season of 'The Biggest Loser'. Now, some may say that this show is only for "fat people", but that's not true at all. For starters, I myself am not fat (only 150 and 5'7", well within the normal range) and I know plenty of "skinny" or "average" people that watch the show too.
I get addicted to the contestants' stories. Each one has their own personal struggle and it's interesting to watch them transform throughout the show. There are two contestants, who they have been promoing in the commercials, that should be interesting journeys. The first is Daniel, a returning contestant from last year, who got kicked off early and still has to lose a ton of weight. The second is a woman who it appears will be not only the heaviest woman weighed in, but also the heaviest person ever to be weighed in on the ranch. This means that she's at least 415 pounds or more! I wish her the best of luck in her weight loss...long way to go!
Are you looking forward to the premiere? What do you like best about the show? Have you struggled with weight yourself? If so, do you have any tips to share with fellow mylotters?

Hi Care4Pets, we are addicts of the Australian version of the show which we have to watch on Youtube but no one uploads the American version so haven't seen it. I've never been overweight but somehow it is just compulsive viewing and quite educational too for my son who now believes me when I say Fanta is bad for him. I just wish someone would upload this one onto Youtube because the Australian one doesn't start again till next Feb.

The only struggles I've had with weight are on some attempts to actually gain some. I'm at 5'9" and barely weigh 100 pounds
I don't watch the Biggest Loser but that may be because I don't watch any reality television shows. My own reality is enough reality for me.
I'm looking forward to the new season starting though, mostly for shows like The Mentalist :)

I Love the Biggest Loser, and I am looking forward to another wonderful season, and am always excited to see what Bob and Jillian can do with their teams, and who really will put it all in to win. To see Daniel back on there this season is something I am very excited about, and wishing him the Best for sure. That kid does want to loose the weight and learn what he needs to do to do it, and I think we should see some Great results from it as well. I personally think even for those of us not really needing to loose weight it can teach us the importance of eating healthy and working out as well to change the life we need for many years to come.

YEA!!! only a few more days to go!! I've been waiting for it to come back on! I love the program! And yes I am overweight and that gives me insperation to get off my butt and work out! And want to lose the weight. I love the program!! It makes me realize that I'm really not as bad as some of those people but like everyone else I need to lose weight for my future and health. But watching this program gives me the hope I need that I will lose this weight one day.

I am very excited about the new season starting!!!! I watched The Biggest Loser the first, second, and third season, after that I got away from it and then we watched it last season and we were hooked again!! I can not wait for the new season..... Since my son and daughter get cartoon network all day long I havent had a chance to see when the new season was to start, I am so glad I saw this discussion so that now I know!!
No, it isnt just for big people, I am 5'2 and 110 lbs... my hubby is 180 and 6'2 --so we are not big people but like you said we get involved in the storyline of the contestants and we usually try to route for one or two...but it is so hard, the ones that are there need to be there and its just sad to see anyone have to get kicked off!!
I can not wait to see Danny do well this season, he may be the one I route for all season!!
Happy mylotting.

I am ready for the biggest loser. That ia a very good show, and ou know, I doubt if I could do half of what they do as far as the challenges are concerned. I do need to lose weight that is for sure. I see that one of the contestants from last season is coming back again. He only lost 142 lbs, and I guess he figures he better lose more, and I do think that with the determination he has, he will lose more too. I think the hardest part of all of it is that once they get home from being voted off, to maintain the weight. If they are motivated though, they will, and keep it off. I have gained weight, lost some, gained some, and lost agaon. It has been a vicious cycle. I would be embarrassed to go on there and do what they do, and I do applaud them for doing it. Every season the show is on, gives me more of an incentive to lose weight and I know i can do it, but I have to have willpower and be motivated to do it. I do walk everyday, and that is a s start, but I think I have to do more to try to lose ore weight. Have a good day, and happy myloting.

I can't wait for the biggest loser to air again this season. I do have a waight problem and can really relate to some of these people. It will be nice to see Danial back.I do get right into the show and get my favorites ( love & hate ) I don't like to see the ones who get quite nasty to the others but then it is only a game and they play it to win.
