My husband and I just moved to a new state. And the county we currently reside in has mandatory recycling. Before this we lived in a place that didn't even encourage it! So it was a pretty big change for us. We recycle what is mandatory and a few other things. We can't possibly recycle everything. We just don't have the room to store the items. Unfortunately too we have to take our recyclables into town to the recycling center. We do what we can . And what we do do I feel makes a difference.

I recycle what I can. That also means that, if I´m very tired, I will not wash the molded special plastics for veggies. I will throw them away without any guilt.
I am changing back to normal lights all the long life, energy saver bulbs I bought in the places where I ususally live. I think they do not give enough ligth for my eyes. And my eyes are more important.
But I try not to throw away any useful thing and think on how to give it a use. I do marvels with leftovers in the kitchen. I use one plate for everything and use my same coffee mug all day. I fill the washing machine and the dishwasher before running it. I don´t use a dryer.
No, I don´t feel guilty for the things I don´t do. I am rathger proud of my achievements.

I tried but it's not really working. There's no recycling center here and the nearest one located around 200 km (what to expect from a village?) So I switch to Reuse concept. All trash that can be reuse in other way around will be kept around and those that not will be in the trash hole. Some plastic bags can be reuse in the supermarket itself so I also kept that around.

I usually recylce almost everything, i can bring an empty bottle for kilometers until i find the right thrash bin...
Too bad that in some places some materials can't be recycled, where i live for example there is no organic matter bin, so i am forced to throw them in the unrecyclable bin, because i've no space for composting at home living in a flat.

I usually recycle thing that I can recycle. Recycling is good in that way we can help mother nature in a lot of ways. so keep on recycling to make a green living than a polluted place.
