I have a question. I was randomly searching some of my friends friends. I came across this one guy who has 638 friends. I was like wow. I wonder if he really knows all these people or is he just adding anyone. Do people do that just add anyone that comes along. I thought facebook is a social network to keep up with old friends. I don't think I came in contact with that much people in my life time and he is younger than I am.I wonder if he interacts with all of them. What is he talking about that 638 people want to hear and be his friend. How many friends to you have on facebook or what is the highest amount of friends have you noticed on facebook. Happy lotting.

I think those high number of friends either have lots of friends or that those are gaming friends. Don't get the wrong idea; sometimes one Facebook user could have around 5-10 games at one time they are playing and all of these contacts are included for the game. Unless he's a spammer with nothing much going on his profile and having 638 friends, I would think that he's a rather busy Facebook user with lots of games going on and also his personal friends plus family members too..

I would understand if he was a public figure. He is in highschool or just entering highschool. Yeah I think he probably plays alot of game. I do think that is too much for facebook. How do you really keep up with all these friends. I think he need some time away from facebook. Happy lotting.

It could go both ways. Some people that I'm friends with are friends with over 1000 people, and I really believe that they are on a first name basis with all of them. I have about 250, and I know most of them, maybe a few randoms, a few acquaintances. But 1000 people is a lot of people to keep up with. Can you imagine all the feeds? Or the facebook mobile, I'm sure he gets quite annoyed with the comments on some of the things he posts.

Hi there. I have 278 friends in facebook and I scarcely know only a few of them.
I add new friends by posting my join my mafia url in various mafia adding groups. This really works honestly and its ver efficacious. If you have a small mafia then I suggest you join these groups and start growing your mafia right away.

i agree with you that most people on facebook just go about any one they think their names please them or they think is likely to be interested in their friendship but there are those who have more than the number of friends you have stated and still mange to interact with them all of them! i know one.
read my blogs at www dot cashspiner dot blogspot dot com and subscribe to the feeds so that you don't miss the incisive opportunities discussed and you are welcomed to post comments.

I have 150 friends on Facebook. All of them (with an exception of a couple) are people whom I've known during my life . . . family, friends, acquaintances. The other couple are people I met via an interest that we all share in common. Otherwise, I don't add anyone I never knew personally. Some of my friends do play Mafia Wars and others . . . and they have a lot of "friends" that way. One friend had nearly 500 at one point, but then decided to make a separate account for "actual" friends - and that list turned out to be more like 100-150. I also have a few friends who have nearly 500 people on their list, but I wouldn't be surprised if they actually knew that many people (they're not exactly celebrities, but they are popular and well known in their particular community). I noticed many of my younger Facebook friends of highschool age have a lot of friends . . . probably because everyone in school exchanges emails and such. I have a couple "celebrity" friends who have friends in the 2000 or higher numbers, but I suspect they add anyone in.

Well, I have 210 friends and at least more than half of them I've known for a while while others have added me randomly for unknown reasons, but yeah just letting you know.
