Rubik's Cube, does it make you look smart?

I was walking the other day. I had a backpack on my back and a rubik's cube in my hands. I was at the bus stop, waiting to go on to go places, and someone taps my shoulder and asks me, how fast can you solve it? I told him, my record was 30 seconds, (Not really!) He replied, whoa, that is pretty fast! You wanna teach me how? I really didn't know how to respond. Solving a rubik's cube takes hours or pratice and one, he didn't have a cube for himself, and it took me about a week to solve it in less than 1 and a half minutes. But I guess I could show him the basics. So I was explaining the first part to him, and he already knew how to solve it, or he was a very, very, quick learner. He learned to solve the first part (6 parts in total for beginners) in less than 10 minutes. We got on the bus, and by the time it was my stop, he could do the first half of the cube as smooth as leather seats! So MyLotters, can you solve a Rubik's Cube? If so, how fast was your record? If not, would you like to try? A Rubik's cube is a great challenge for all students, or adults.
