Are We Afraid Yet?

After hearing at work that Massachusettes is becoming a police state, I am starting to worry. Even though pretty much everyone in my state is armed, and it would be EXTREMELY STUPID to try to enforce something like that on us, I am still worried.
The government is now looking to FORCE people to get the Swine Flu vaccine....regardless of the side effects.

The doctor's office I work at won't be carrying the Swine Flu vaccine. The hoops we'd have to jump through and the side effects vs. the actual flu just aren't worth it to our doctors. I trust my doctor with my life, so I trust her judgement in not vaccinating.
What blows my mind...besides the obvious trampling of rights yet again...is that we can't force school kids to be immunized, yet the government is going to force ADULTS to get vaccinated!
The local police...who should be friends and people to go to in time of trouble...will now be those to be FEARED! People who can haul Grampa or Mom away if they don't succumb to the dictated rule.
This just seems so horribly wrong. Your thoughts?

Three months have gone by, have the enforced mandatory vaccines? Just wondering.

I forgot to respond to your Twilight and Soylent Green remarks....
both gave me cold shivers when I saw them the first time. And are always at the back of my mind when I read this stuff too. Have you seen the Matrix? Something in it makes me shiver inside too. Are they trying to tell us something? HaHa!

The Massachusetts' border is less than a half hour's drive form my house in New York State. Fortunately I live in a rural area which would make enforcing such insanity difficult to do here.
I have unusual and terrible reactions to a lot of different medicines so I would not take any chances with my health by getting that vaccine or any other flu shot.
Shortly after my daughter's first birthday, I let them give her a flu shot at her checkup. A week later she was so ill she needed to be hospitalized and we almost lost her. She never got that shot again and she hasn't been sick since. She's almost 5 now and aside form the routine checkups, I've had no need to bring her to the doctor's office because she is a healthy little kid.
I've never had a flu shot and despite being exposed every year, I've never gotten the flu.
I'm not going to let anyone force something on me and my family that hasn't been conclusively proven to be safe.
Luckily, there are always huge shortages of such vaccines so they probably won't have enough on hand to force anyone to take it even if they wanted to.
I am afraid and I am angry about what I see happening to our country, but as long as I am still free to speak out, I shall do so.

I hope you are right.
All of the doctors I've talked to won't give it to their own families. If they don't trust it, I SURE dont'!
They rushed it through and that, in itself, is scary.

Well, you can never know what's the real thing behind the government, but I think it's a good idea. Who knows? Maybe it prevents lots of deaths.

well, while I don't know much about Argentina, I DO know that the police state they are starting is NOT a good thing! I also take it you didn't even read the link. Here is the correct one....I hate not being able to copy and paste!

The vaccine is experimental. That is why there are so many hoops for those wha are going to carry it. the side effects are also worse thatn the actual flu, in most cases.
No one is going to come to MY home and force ME to be vaccinated!
