Do you often choose to be on the internet over watching tv ? or do you watch tv while you are typing or playing on the computer ? in my home I only have certain shows that I really watch on tv . other then that I welcome the peace and quite , just me, my Dog and my computer.. But my Husband, is a different story, he has to have the tv on at all times, even if he's not watching it, sometimes drives me nuts as soon as he leaves for work, I turn it off... then when he gets home from work, it is tv on first, then "Hi honey".. I guess it is because I get the chance to watch it anytime I want, and He does not.. so I dont say much about it.. and I always have enough respect to give him the remote so he can watch his hunting shows or whatever he wants ...

I see you are in the United States. Most of the major networks allow you to watch their programs on the computer if you have a high-speed connection. You can actually get plenty of programming without even a cable or antenna if you watch it on your computer. I have a problem because I am in Canada and the major networks sites the text of the country I P. addresses. I am sure there are ways around it but I have not tried them yet. Frequently when I am on the computer I am also watching television in the background. If I was really industrious I would install two video cards on my computer and have two monitors one for working on while I am watching television on the second one.

I have not got into watching tv on the internet yet, but im sure I will in the future. I do go to U-tube on occasion.

I'm mostly on the internet nowadays. Before I was addicted to the TV, but after I discovered the internet, the TV has taken a back seat. Also I have this mentality about watching my favorite shows on TV, that if I miss it, I could always look for it online.

I have my computer in my living room, so if there's something on I will watch it while I'm online, otherwise the TV is off. I am kind of like you, I can watch it anytime so if there's something I'm interested in on, I'll watch it, otherwise I also welcome the peace and quiet! I have two children, so when they go to bed the peace and quiet is awesome!

Mine is in the computer/living room , both me and my husband usualy hang out in here, this room was once a garage, now converted into a living room, so we have two living rooms.. it is a nice set up.. WE talked about moving things around and making this just the computer room.. but the tv would stay in here too.. i do kind of like being able to talk to him and be on the computer at the same time..

Definitely computer. I chose computer because computer has everything. And it is interactive than television. It is more fun sitting around typing and interacting than watching television.

I used to watch tv a lot. I would make sure I never miss an episode of my favorite shows. I'm online more now and find that I can get everything on the internet. I can find out spoilers, watch missed episodes while I'm online checking my emails, paying bills, doing research etc.

I love both computer and television. But I love to spend more time on internet. Television is my second choice.

I usually get the computer cause the kids hog the tv to my dismay. Darn those people @ QUBO who have lil kiddie show's going 24/7 on their station. The kids think cause they are on they can be watching it. *sigh* Mind you our converter box just took a dive so we are down to one tv. I've unplugged it, I"ve gotten a switcher box, they always seem to find a way to watch too much. I'm bout ready for hubby to show me the fuse it's connected to!

Before I started using the computer, I watched TV a lot. Then I got a high speed connection and became interested of the internet, but I'd say it was still 50/50 between computer and television at that point. But maybe about a year later, I wasn't interested in TV as much anymore; I think it was because I couldn't find anything to watch anymore that was new. So, I was on the computer for prolonged periods and rarely watched TV. A couple years later, in the present day, though, I'd say it's back to being 50/50. I've got a laptop now, so I can set it up right in front of the TV. I found some shows that piqued my interest and now I can't get enough watching TV. But I still want something to do while watching since I get bored if I don't do anything with my hands, hence the laptop (^_^)

Since my childhood, I really loved to watch my favorite shows on TV without fail. However, with the advent of internet, I've started spending more time on my computer rather than on TV. After watching the news for few minutes, I would again sit down, do my usual stuff while surfing the net for hours for as long as I can. And if I missed interesting shows on TV, I find ways to watch them on my computer.

I prefer my computer over the TV. The current TV is horrible, filled with staged reality, drama shows that are just pathetic. At least when I play a computer game I am using and building thinking critically skills and working on hand eye coordination. And not just sitting there on the couch watching, Rock of Love or any of those shows. If I do watch TV, I am watching either, Discover, History, Animal Planet, or some Cartoons.

My computer is set-up in my living room, So all i have to do is keep 1 ear out of my headphones and i can happily do both at the same time, Not that the Tv has anything interesting to watch nower days, I tend just to watch a couple of programs, One being Top Gear. I spend most of my time just staring at the computer though, And sometimes i even watch my favourite tv programs on my computer :)
