Much speculation about Senator Noynoy's Presidential candidacy, there are words spoken from his critics and from his supporters. But why such mixed reaction from different people?Well, personally, my views towards Senator Noynoy is that he is overtly judged by many, maybe because among the Presidentiables, he is the only person who came from a celebrated and most-talked family, even canonized by many, that's an additional factor of his fame. Though people claimed that he is far from his parents' achievement and skill, but Senator Noynoy has his own unique traits too, he maybe lacked an excellent oratorical skill of his father, but every time he spoke it is always with conviction. His earnest desire to see the Philippines in a different light free from corruption and misery made a great impact into his personality which can help him governed this land with a strong hand. It is not also wise to compare Noynoy to his parents because he cannot move on and create his own destiny if people will continue the comparison. I believed he has a unique traits that can help revitalized the disgruntled economy and peace and order. Coupled with his determination, conviction and clean intention to serve the land, I am hopeful he can be the instrument of a corrupt-free and democratic Philippines, just give him enough time to ponder his fate and stop from being judgmental.

People will definitely compare Senator Noynoy to his parents. And I think he is pressured enough when it comes to the legacy that his parents has brought into our country. But nevertheless, I think with the experienced that he had, he can surely lead our country to a great prosperity.

Very well said. Me too I am strongly believed he can do something for our disgruntled country, though it is always wrong to have high expectations, it is wise to have high hopes for a person.

I really hate to say this but Noynoy will not win the presidency. I don't see much capability in him. That's all to it. Sorry.

jaysumalnap, whatever your political ideology, you have no right to judge a person about his capabilities. You know little of Senator Noynoy so it is ridiculous that you judge him right away. For your information, among the ambitious politicians who aimed to become a President, it is only Senator Aquino who has a credible reputation with no record of any controversy, corruption and mismanagement of government funds. It is highly improper to say right away that he is not capable. You better make extensive research about each candidates before making your own stand. The trouble with Filipinos is that, we are easily mislead by wrong opinion and misjudgment that's why it's no wonder we keep repeating the same mistakes and never recover from misery and difficulties in life and always making a mistakes in choosing a right candidate. I think, this disease is incurable unless we must accept CHANGE.

Hello guys, I don't think we need a president who has a lot of capability (whatever that is). What we need is a person who has character, principle and integrity. We have a lot of president who is capable, but they just used their capability for their own gains. I think Noynoy will be a good president, not great but good. Regards.

jamela, it is always wise to understand what you read. and i think you haven't when you read my response. Firstly, stating my opinion about myself not seeing much capability in him is not a judgmental act, but rather a simple personal observation. To let your mind perceive accurately, here is an example: "He is incapable" - that is being judgmental "I don't see much capability" - that is a mere statement of personal opinion Secondly, "not much capability" is not synonymous with "no capability". Thirdly, if you assume that I have a wrong opinion, then To Each His Own, I don't care about your opinion too. Peace!

I just hope he could ifnd an enlightenment in his retreat somewhere in the south. I feel that his deeply rooted religiosity would eventually find an answer. I read many write ups in here and I read many positives and negatives about him that is why I somehow became 50-50 in supporting him. I would also decide once he will decide on running.

I think that's a good point about Noynoy's decision to pray fervently to God for enlightenment. Among the Presidentiables, he is the one who always listen to siblings' advises. I watched his older sister Ballsy Aquino-Cruz saying that Noynoy will go into retreat to listen to his inner thoughts and feel God's blessing.

hello jlamela, I think Noynoy is capable and will be a good leader for our country. Everybody deserves a chance and he is not an exception. What we need is a leader that is not corrupt and that he is really concern for his people. And that is one reason why he is the best candidate for that position. He is not that outspoken but action is better than words.

Yes I agree. Noynoy is not corrupt, in fact he extremely hated corruption, during the tenure of his mother in the Presidency I never heard any bad record or misconduct from him or any of the Aquino children, they were not involved in any anomalies in the government. Senator Aquino might not be very outspoken in the senate but he has strong determination and conviction for a better governance, plus he had already an experience how it looked like to live a life of a President, because of his mother's term.

As we all see Noynoy is the most popular candidate for presidency next election though he never yet declared that he will really run for presidency. Maybe because among the other candidate he has the most clean image in politics. He has no records of corruption and any other anomalies. I just hope that if he will win in the presidential election and will become our next president may he maintain his good image and hope he will maintain the good name of his family by not engaging any illegal activities and any other bad political issues.

He has a good image in politics and in government. I remember one interview of President Cory right after she stoop down from power in 1992, she said that the first thing that she always tell her children when she became a President in 1986 was that never never ingratiate yourself in public at the expense of being a president's child. She told her children not to use their influence and power for self-gratification and advantage. I think the Aquino children were never spoiled by their parents. Senator Noynoy has been known in public as a morally conscious person, I remember how he and Kris Aquino were not in speaking terms because of Kris's affinity to married men, then when Noynoy was asked, he said that when his father was still alive, he made a promise to protect his siblings and the image of their family. So I think being morally conscious and protective are another advantages of Senator Noynoy to lead this country successfully.

We should respect whatever their decision will be. We can't avoid comparing him to his parents. Personally, I think Noynoy Aquino can be a good president. His name has not been tainted by any corruption allegations that's why I think that he will be an honest president. We should give him enough time to decide and stop pressuring him to decide immediately. And if ever he'll choose to run, let's trust him instead of criticizing his credibility.

You are correct. NoyNoy has no record of corruption, allegations about misused of funds and other questionable motives EVEN DURING THE TERM OF HIS MOTHER in the MalacaƱang. He can be a good president if given the chance. Just give him enough time to decide and should not be pressured by many.

It is so difficult not to compare the children to the parents... especially if the family is like the most popular in the country... I see Ninoy Aquino in Kris... and I see Cory in Noynoy... but the four are just so different from each other... I agree that we should not be judgemental and respect whatever it is that Noynoy will decide... but if ever he decided to run for President and ultimately wins... i hope he will carry on the torch that Cory Aquino held... to fight corruption and to bring back the Filipino peoples pride in our government...

I also believed that he can be a good president, but at this moment in time, he should not be pressured by people, he might decide inaccurately if he will be pressured by his supporters. He is a good and morally conscious person just like his parents.

Noynoy should listen to his sisters instead of those people who will only use him. This is only my opinion. You cant help but compare noynoy to his parents. Noynoy should try to look inside and weigh things if he is capable of handling the leadership some people are asking from him. Noynoy has nver been so outspoken regarding issues in our country and he has been in the background most of the time and i think these people (calling for him to run for president) ride on to the legacy of noynoys parents. i mean, noynoy is of course has his own personality and that cannot be counted on what his parents did to the country. people are only looking at his parents legacy not on noynoys capability. get me? I just hope noynoy will be able to arrive a better and wise decision in the coming days.

It is also nice to listen to his inner thoughts and feelings. People who keep on dragging him to run for the Presidency might only nice in the beginning, but whether these people could sustain up to the end remain a question. So Senator Aquino must really reassess carefully himself. Over all he is a nice person with good intention for the Philippines, compared to other politician he has no record of corruption and questionable motives even during the time of his mother's presidency.
