RUMOR: A level 250 GF at the beginning of FF8 called Quizit

Anyone here ever encountered this before.. There is a rumor that you can get a level 250 Guardian Force at the beginning of FF8 just after your fire cavern mission.. But I cannot seem to make it work.
Can anyone here confirm if this is just a myth?
It was said that after the class with Quistis, you have to talk to the guy near the elevator and get those seven card's ( important Note: Try to play card's with him and he will decline ) Go toward's the gate. Just before the stairs there should be a man there wearing yellow. If theres no one just go to the stairs frame and back again to the last frame. There should be a man there.
Play him and YOU MUST BEAT HIM! once.. That's what have been said.
After beating him go to quistis and take go beat ifrit. When your done, go out to the first forest in front of the cave and you should kill 5 caterpillars.
It was said that after you killed 5 and you go on for more. Youll find this GF @ level 250. All you have to do is draw from him. And youll get him as GF..
Please anyone confirm this..

This is first I've heard about this rumor. But I looked it up and it's difficult to say whether this is just a rumor or an actual cheat. Members in forum sites believe it's just some silly rumor, while some FF8 sites list it as an actual cheat. But then again, these sites don't have like a video or a screenshot of it (anyone who actually got it would definitely do so with the GF being rare and all) and it's also not in the official guidebook, so it kinda makes me think it might not be true.

Yeah I believe so too.. But since your not confirming that this is not true, maybe there is really a secret guardian force of the game. It's actually in a long list of tips and tricks for FF8. Maybe in some versions? How ever I not think of it. I really hope it's a legit cheat.

Yeah, I haven't played FF8 in a long while, so yeah, I can't confirm or deny the rumor. But it is a possibility that it could be from a different version of the game. And it certainly would be cool if there was a GF like that. I wonder what he would look like.

Anyway...do u remember when ultimecia sumon the most powerfull gf? I think it's name is griefer or something like that. Could it be this gf that u said can be found at the start of the game?

I'm not playing it in a long time... But i do wonder about one of final fantasy that have an empy place in their summon status menu... I'm not sure it's ff 8 or 9.

I doubt its true, I mean the game has been on the market for YEARS don't you think that someone would have video evidence or at least a screenshot or something with it?

Does it say when the cheat was added? Any chance its on April 1st?
