In Washington DC there is a very large wooded park that is overgrown with deer. Therefore the park authority said they see no way but to go in there with guns and kill the deer.
I am sorry the wildlife was here long before we were along with all out roads, houses, buildings and stores.Progress!
I see all the time poor deer on the side of the road dead because they are running out of land that they can live, walk and breath in. They said there was usually 24 deer to every acre at this park. Now it is 81 to every acre.Well, duh, wake up they finally found a place to go.
I remember about 10 years ago I gave my son a ride to a friends house and a deer crossed the street in front of me,was eating flowers in one yard and was crossing to go to another yard.Fine with me.She had more right there then I did,so I stopped. My mom and uncle had a deer run out in front of their van.
I think they should tranqulize the deer and move them to the country, where it is grassy and healthy for them.
What do you think?

Something needs to be done w/them. They cause alot of people to have wrecks around here.

My mom and uncle hit a deer and totalled their minivan. It took them 6 or 7 months to pay off the $7,000 on that minivan. And then they had to save to get another one. They do not blame the deer. And I do not blame the deer.I had to drive them around a lot of places that they had to go.I had to drop a lot of stuff me and my daughter usually did to help them.

well..the only problem with that is sometimes they come back-they'd have to move them way far out.we had a problem here where they were crossing the bridge at night into the city and causing major accidents.what the state ended up doing was culling the herd, and giving the meat to the homeless shelters.
no win for the deer, but big win for the hungry.
they later started dropping food with birth control added to try to reduce the population.not sure how well that worked.

I totally agree with you. It seems like they want to take the easiest way out.

Yes,thin them out,but not by killing them. There are a lot of areas that are overpopulated with people. So,how would you feel if they said OK,lets kill them then!

I said that a deer ran out in front of my mom and uncle.Yes,it was a pain, the deer was killed and their minivan was totaled. They did not have full coverage insurance and had to pay off $7,000.They had to do that before they could afford to buy another minivan, which took them about 7 months. They used their van to basically run their small business.I was the nearest relative, therefore I dropped the majority of mine and my daughters things so we could run them around. But,it wouldn't have happened at all if their space had not been invaded.
