its called a nape piercing...and its on the back of my neck. i got it done with a surface bar...which is the safest way to do these type of piercings. It did hurt really really bad..and it still does...and it takes about a year to heal but it is the coolest piercing i have. i was just wondering if anyone has any surface piercings, and what your experience is with them... FYI the girl in the photo is not me...just an example

Hello britt! I think that is so cool. If i had the opportunity to have that one, i would love to. Now the only piercing that i have is on both ears. I also have a permanent hole in my right ear on the upper part. I tried to pierce it way back in high school but i just can't stand the pain. I tried cooling it with ice then punched a hole with a needle but it was way too painful so i left it there.

Yeah it was. I was pretty swayed by the latest trend back in my high school days. Actually, when you use ice, it will feel numb. As the cold ice will minimize the blood flow.

hello britt,
been a long time i havent seen you here. am afraid i cannot relate with piercing of any kind. i am just too sensitive to pain i cant do that.
am so curious though what is it in piercing that you call "cool". you said it hurts really bad, so am wondering.
hope it heals faster than the time you said. and please take care it doesnt get infection.
your friend,
ann

it just looks cool. after my belly button i kind of got addicted. i love piercings and i also love to pierce people. i am careful with it and ive studied it extensively. i just love it. it doesnt hurt as much now so thats good. i think it was just the initial needle through it.
