Nightmare are very common among children and fairly common adult. Often nightmare are caused by stress, traumatic experiences, emotional difficulties, drug or medication or illness, however some people have frequent nightmare that seem unrelated to their waking lives. I like to know if you have a nightmare in your dream....

I think it is completely normal to have nightmares because if we are able to have dreams then I cannot find out why we cannot have nightmares too. What we experience in day time can have a reflection at night so this is completely normal for me to have nightmares.

I still have nightmares...not as often as I use to when I was a child. My worst nightmare that I still have to this day is that my bed and my floor were covered with snakes and there was a big python on my chest and was suffocating me. I have an awful fear of snakes...I still have that nightmare to this point and time but when I wake up, I wake up all the way...when I was younger I would scream till my parents came and got me and I would believe in the snakes so much my father use to have to carry me out of the room so I didn't have to step on the floor.

Yes it is comman to have nightmares. Nightmares are like dreams only. without any reason if we have "unrelated to our life" happy dreams then why can't we have nightmares. I also have nightmares without any reason as such. I don't think it has any significance..... Yeah it definitely means that you need to clear your mind and relieve off some stress......
