no i'm not i believe that guidance and discipline can be done without being strict. I think repetitive words is effective but sometimes it takes time to see that it is instilled to your children. being strict usually narrows the mind of children that they have to follow because of fear and not because it is right

When it comes to my little brother I'm strict about homework but that's about it.

i grew up with my grandparents and yes they were very strict and i hated it!
