Can plane ride cause vertigo?

I had my first plane ride two weeks ago. When I get back home, I can't explain how I feel. I feel like I was floating or something. Not until these past few days, I sense something is really wrong with me. I feel like vomiting, and the environment is spinning. I tried several reasearches on the internet, but none confirms if pressure (on the ears) that one gets from a plane ride can actually cause vertigo. I don't want to think that this really is vertigo, but the symptoms are all there. Do you really get vertigo by just riding the plane? Is this normal?
