Does this ever happen to you? You were trying to tell a joke to your friend, and just trying to teasing him for unharmful reason. Your ultimate intention just want to stir up the atmosphere a little bit, and make it a little bit funny. Unexpectedly, your joke backfired, because your friend took it in a wrong way, and he found it offended. It happened to me once, and I try to pick a joke carefully next time. And I have to consider the situation and time to tell that joke too.

Yes it has happened to me though I still feel bad about it and then I understood that not every one understand jokes very easily and above all there is a way to tell a joke but sometimes we just miss that part and the other person feels terribly bad about what we say. One should be very careful though like me. Now I see if that person understands jokes and I use a very jovial tone to say that joke.

Yeap, it happened to me several times. Sometimes just don't know what to do about it cause most of the time is the friend took it personally. What I did was just to apologise and try to avoid teasing the same friend. I believe everyone has the limit of accepting different levels of jokes.
