Who would not know about Whitney Houston. She is one of the top rated singer in the 80's and an idol of other artists of the new generation. After been out of from music industry for so many years and from the drug issues she was involved, her recent tv appearance was not good when she sung, can she still make a successful comeback? On a personal note, I really hope that she will be received by her fans again, a truly gem in the music industry.

I think Whitney Houston is still one of great diva singers in the world, and she still has a lot of loyal fans, about her recent tv appearance wasn,t good when sung will not affect her big name, every people who love her songs would still welcome her as she is a superstar pop music :)

I don't think she can reach success like the way she did in the past. She's taking break too long that some people just forget her and when she come back now, her music is not inventive and sound dated. She should take Mariah Carey route, decided to dump all those pop ballad and change her music more to R&B route. I don't think Whitney capable to take Madonna route, jumping into dance music and doing crazy things with her appearance. Whitney should recruit younger songwriter like Ne-Yo or The Dream which can produce great R&B slow or mid tempo songs or Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic to produce pop songs.

Good point but her best hits are amongst the biggest selling of all time, they are record breaking. So I don't think she could really ever get back to that. I would agree that Ryan Tedder might be a good writer to work with as he has done well with a number of different artists recently.

Hello my friend
How sad is this she was blessed with a gift like no other and threw that gift away like it meant nothing, i feel bad for her to some extent but how silly was this, I mean yes things happen but wow I don't know if she will be able to make a come back i will go to youtube hopefully I will be able to view a recent performance if she did not get her voice back yet then there is no coming back for her, it makes me angry how people don't enhance these gifts instead choose to destroy them, I love to sing i mean really love it but I am not that great so it makes me angry when people screw up this gift when I could have had it, why could this not have been me, oh wow lol calm down you.
Seriously you saw her performance you say she did not sound the same was it as bad as we have seen or has there been some improvement? been a while since I heard her sing, I figured after all this time there should have been some improvement.

I have heard a couple of songs from her new album which is out next month and they are very good. If she stays clean they there's no reason why not.

I dont think she will reach the superstar amazing singer she was during the bodyguard era but I think she will do just fine. She is an established name and her producer clive davis would not beg for a comeback if he did not think she could do it. Do not expect bodygaurd quality but do expect a great voice.

I heard that she did a live show and her vocals were not up to par. But I hope that was just a fluke and that she will do well in her next performance. She is an awesome singer. I just don't think she'll make it back to the rank she was at the first time.
