Any former Alltel customers that were forced to change to Verizon?

I was one of the many that was forced over to Verizon and I'm not happy with them!! I have a phone that is eligible for upgrade but in order to do that I have to change my calling plan to a Verizon plan. Here's my problem with that. I have 3 lines on my account and when I try to change my plan it tells me I have to upgrade all 3 phones but they want me to pay full price for one of the replacement phones!! I don't think that's fair since they are forcing me to upgrade a phone because it's not compatiable with their plans!!!! I personally feel that we should have been given the option to terminate our service without penalty when this merger happened. Verizon service is more expensive and I was much happier with Alltel. Anybody else feel that this is a bunch of BS? Thanks for your opinions!!!
