What is it like to work for Work-Online? I have seen their site and was interested, but I have to make a huge commitment there to get paid, write like 100 articles, and I have been hesitant to do that. Also, I have some concerns about the site. I mean, what's in it for them? They say its a research project but they use key words that people would be searching for on the computer to buy things or find dates. I think they may have an ulterior motive. The whole thing seems kind of shady to me.
Have you been paid by them? How many articles did you have to write?

Well, the thing is, if they are inherently dishonest and lying to us, eventually they may turn into a scam and suddenly stop paying. I don't like to work with dishonest people. They will scam you if given a chance. I wish you luck in it though. Every time I go there I don't like the keywords anyway, they are all "Skip hire" etc- what the heck is a skip? I am wondering if I could even write a story for them, the words are so obscure. I think I could write on the love ones, but they probably go really fast and I don't think I could get paid just writing those.
Anyway, I think I will pass.
I hope you get the problem with ReviewSTreawm sorted out. I wrote one food review that got the 2 dollar rate, but most reviews I've found only pay the 40 cents, at least most movie reviews do- I've gone on for like 1000 words and still just got the 40 cents, so subject does matter.
I think you should try to make your reviews longer to get accepted. They wouldn't be rejecting them so fast if it wasn't word count.

hi Opalina
Lol,,,A skip is the equalivant to a dumpster in this country. Its a large container that opens from the top and in England they call them skips..I don't know how much you could write about renting a dumpster or why anyone would care, but I see those keywords on that site often so obviously someone is interested! The english have a lot of strange words, not to them, but to us..I am having pretty good luck with the site however and have been paid the going rate each time so far..It makes me keep going back as 2-4 bucks per post is hard to ignore...I'm sure I'll get the .40 soon as all good things come to an end!! Thanks for your response

You'r right about what their motive is here..but then I really don't care as long as they pay me..not that the pay is anything to get excited about.. My theory is that they are going to try to sell these stories to whoever, get paid a whole lot more than you would diretly, obviously, I think that is why the writter is kept annonymous..I'm not sure what their motives are accept for money,,Just wish they would be a little more generous with what we get!!! Hi! sulsisels,
You might be short of words. I have been writing for them for quite some time,I already received my pay 3 times. I just stopped because I ran out of things to review, AT first I used to receive that message to, all you have to do is to add few more words, or if you are writing one whole paragraph, try to divide that one paragraph into three. just make sure you write honestly or you will get banned. Happy writing!

Hi Ivygray! I have been writing for Reviewstream for the past few months. I am so glad to hear that they really pay! How quickly did you get your payment after you requested it? It is so nice to hear from someone who got paid, I will have to continue and in fact increase my efforts there.

Thanks for the info..I don't think the problem is short on words, as a matter of fact, I was thinking I was writing too much..Maybe I'll try dividing into more paragraphs, as you suggest. I am definately writing truthfully, mostly have been reviewing food as a have a food blog and its a subject i know best!! I hope this works out as I do a lot of free lance writing and most of my stuff gets bought so I'm starting to get a complex here!! I'll take your suggestions and just keep on perserving..Thanks again Joyce

Hi ivygrey. I am a first-time user of reviewstream. I reached the payout minimum and I have been trying to figure out how to get paid. The FAQ said I have to make a formal request. Who do I email to make the request? I have written a lot of reviews for them and I always got the bulk rate. I think I only got paid the $2 rate twice, and it was on cosmetics. Do you have suggestions how I could get the regular rate of $2? Thanks.

I work with them before and i can easily get approved. I cant really know why your article being rejected. That's very simple, what you is fulfill their need and write an unique content (never copy any sentences from the website). Then, you will get approved.

Thanks for responding lifeplayer..I have been rejected every single time and I am not plagurizing or anything like that. I am a free lance writer on the side also and usually get bought..I've been writing mostly on food as that is what my blog is about, so its a subject I'm quite farmiliar with..usally they reject me just the second i submit it..only once did they send me a confirmation saying that they had received it and I would be notified..has that happened to you where your review was rejected 1 nanosecond after submitting? I've got to get to the bottom of this!! PM me if you have the time..thanks Joyce

That's odd. I don't see myself as a very good writer but I have never been rejected from ReviewStream. I think first of all, you have to write at least 300 words. Then you have to realize that some subjects (such as movies) just don't pay the two dollars-ever. Only certain subjects are eligible for that, like medication and travel. It doesn't actually say that on the site but that has been my experience. I have written many movie reviews and always gotten the 40 cent rate, even if I wrote 600 words. Whereas I've written medication reviews and gotten the two dollars. If you check the box that says you are willing to take the 'bulk' rate for your article, you should get in. I think in some subjects they just don't pay the full rate, no matter how well you write- try checking the box to accept the bulk rate.

Joyce, the only thing that would account for that is not enough words. Either that or there is some kind of bug in your computer that is keeping the reviews from being sent. I really think the word count is the issue here. 300-400 words is a lot, maybe more than you think.
I suggest writing a few of your reviews in WORD or another word processing program first and then copy pasting them into the space. Then on the WORD you can keep track of how many words you have. When it says on WORD that you have 400 words, stop writing. Then submit. I have heard its 300 but go for 350 or 400 just to make sure. Know your word count before you submit, and I bet you will do better.

H Opalna...now I'm really feeling bad..Sometimes, just the second I hit submit it tells me they are not interested..Only once did I receive a confirmation stating that they had received my review and would be notified..Do you know why that is? No one could possibly review something in a nanosecond,,Maybe I'm doing something wrong..any ideas? Please PM me if you get a chance..Joyce

How strange!
I submitted 4 articles to them the day I joined (a few days ago), and they accepted them all.
I'd like to submit more, but I've run out of things to review.
Perhaps you submitted a review for something they have no use for at the time?
To my knowledge, however, they accept all reviews, they just don't pay the full rate for those that don't fall under the categories they've listed.
Each of the ones I submitted are at least 1,000 words long (all the ones I saw were, so I used that as my basis), so perhaps word length could be a factor, as well.
Perhaps if you tweaked your reviews a bit?
Good luck.

I just wrote my first review for reviewstream tonight so I will see if it is accepted and how much I get paid. I'm hoping it will be a good site as they seem to pay ok and writing reviews is good writing practice for me.

Have you tried hitting the accept the bulk rate box? I write a lot of reviews of books and restaurants, and these do not earn the $2 rate. In fact, I have mostly given up on the $2 rate and instead just write a couple of bulk rate reviews each day.
I have had a couple of reviews rejected but they were both too short, that was it.

I went through that kind of frustration too. Here is what I noted as I continued working with "Review Stream". This may not be exactly what you are facing, but just in case it can be of help. When the response comes back saying "we are not interested", I just go back there and write in a few more lines and resubmitted it. To my surprise, it gets accepted. So, the reason must have been that there were not enough material the first time. If what you are facing is the same, then try writing in some more and resubmit. See what happens then !
Good luck to you !

Iam willing to try anything at this point!! I don't think my problem is lack of words as I'm a freelance writer (smalltime) and not usually at a loss of words..however, you never know, so I'll try it..
Thanks much..joyce

I was thinking about this problem of yours and something came to my mind.
Are you checking the bulk rate box?
Make sure you check it each time.
The thing is that reviewstream.com doesn't pay $2,50 for every review and in some categories you can write reviews more than 3000 words long but they will not pay you $2,50 and if you don't accept the bulk rate which is 50c they will automatically reject your review because you didn't accept to get paid the bulk rate, 50c, and they don't want to pay you the full rate, $2,50, so they automatically reject your review without reading. That means that if you submit in web site category, video games, movies, TV shows, food category and don't check the bulk rate box your review will be rejected immediately because they don't give $2,50 for reviews in those categories. If you post in perfumes, computers, electronics or similar categories make sure you checked the bulk rate box because if your review is shorter than 850 words it will probably get rejected, although not immediately but after they read it and realised that it is not long enough. Sometimes people get $2,50 even if the article is shorter but the 900 words review in the categories I mentioned above are 99% sure to get $2,50. So check the bulk rate box if you don't want your review to get rejected.

I am not part of ReviewStream, sounds interesting. I have done alot of research for many different ways to earn online. Writing is one that I have done alot of reading on. Sounds like you may need to break it up in paragraphs, make sure you use the keywords they provide as well as unique content. This is checked. Do a word count, there are free programs that you can do this with online. You can type in them or copy and paste your writing in them to find the count so that you have enough.
I write alot so my count is usually over...lol That is hard when you have some places that don't want you going over a certain amount...lol
Anyways make sure its unique
More than one paragraph,
full sentences,
Word/character count is above set amount,
Find words that isn't normally used, still means the same.
Rewrite or add if need be to try again.

I have written for Review Stream but since I heard it from someone, I became highly interested in joining. So, i will be keeping my eye on this discussion thread to see what others who have written for this site has to say about this, so I could determine whether it is worth my time there.

Have you had any better luck in the past week? I just sent some reviews a little over a week ago and have gotten a couple acceptances, one at the full rate and one at the bulk rate. One was rejected, but I think it is because it was a website review and they don't pay full price. I should have checked off the bulk rate box.
I like you am trying to learn the ropes. I have found out that you need to write at least 200 to 300 words to get bulk rate and that they only pay the full rate to categories like medicine, travel and electronics. Possibly health, but I am not sure. It takes a long time for the reviews to get accepted or rejected.
I believe the trick to at least getting the bulk rate is to write over 250 words and give your own opinion rather than just description. I have seen some reviews that aren't that well written but the person speaks from their heart and says how they feel. I believe this is what they are looking for. I am still waiting to see if 6 of my other reviews get accepted or not. I would love to hear if you have had any better luck with them. I want to make sure they are reliable and at this point I am just not that sure. It is going to take a lot of reviews to get to the $50 payout.

I wanted to join this website sometime back but i guess i just never did after reviewing it, but anyway from what i have read sometime you just need to add more content to the articles because if its not enough even though you pass the minimum amount sometimes they still do not accept it. Maybe you could try adding some more words or sentences to the articles and see if that makes a difference or not. Hopefully you will figure it out soon.
