Do you think Erap will still run for president if nobody else will withdraw?

Senator Noynoy Aquino will most likely to announce that he will run for president. Erap announced that he will run if the opposition will not choose a common candidate, which means he will be against Nonynoy. With this, I believe that the votes for Noynoy will somehow be divided and be transferred to Erap since he has still a lot of followers. Do you think Erap will still run for president if nobody else will withdraw? No hurting words, please. Thanks!

Ok, just to refresh everybody's memory, Erap was ousted from Presidency. Now he's out there campaining and we're supposed to just forget what he did and what happened? If he wins then it's all back to square one. It won't also be a very good image for our country. I can just see the headlines from other country's papers: Ousted President wins election! Second Time's a charm!

Erap said he will run, 99.9% it leaves only 1% chance of withdrawal. There are lot of prohibition in his parole, one is for not running again as president which they said have no weight on his part. If he run someone would file cases against him, which i doubt it's effect. If Noynoy finally said he'd run, i think the vote will definitely be divided, but i think otherwise, vote for erap will be for Noynoy, since Cory still have a lot of followers on that sector they'll be competeting on.

That's his problem. I was never an Erap supporter, frankly i never like the guy. He's persistent and thinks that every one is stupid enough to vote him again. If he runs again, I Would not vote for him. it would have been better if Mar didn't withdraw his candidacy. but there's always Kiko Pangilinan for VP, i would surely vote for him!

I think Erap will still run because he wants to prove that he is still popular and would want to have the presidency back as he believes that it was stolen form him by gloria. I think it is much better if he will just not run again because we are in a crisis and we need a youthful president that will lead innovations and has transformed himself from one of the poor masses into a successful businessman because of he is industrious and persevering.

I really have no idea on his plan. But maybe, he might think to ran and waste his money. The team of noynoy and mar is very unbeatable. I realize that many would vote for them and they'll win if the election is held right now. But still we can't tell time. There are still more time before the election and there can be many changes that can happen. I just hope no matter who the next president will be he/she will be able to loosen us from this collar of poverty.

I do hope that he would not run anymore. I feel his time has passed for running again. I also question the legality of him being able to run again and his being given the guilty verdict by courts would just taint the presidency. I wouldn't want a tainted person seating on Malacanan anymore. Noynoy maybe the next choice for me.

If he wants what is best for the Philippines... then he shouldn't run for President anymore... instead... to the money that should be allotted for this candidacy to help those who are in need the most... He should use his popularity to support the Presidential candidate who can do more good than harm for our country... and right now... we are still in the process of choosing who that candidate is...

i don't think erap and noynoy are attracting the same crowd. both will have following but of different class, sector and geographic areas. i don't care if erap runs since i will campaign against him. what's the point of putting the man we ousted in power again? i believe noynoy will be a good president if he ever decides to run. but i am rooting for either villar or escudero. both are capable and have shown leadership qualities our country needs.

hi fatherblogger. sorry to say this. there are lots of good people in the opposition, but i will not mention one. i think, it is better to have one common candidate for the opposition, but not erap.

I find it funny that he is threatening to run should the opposition refuse to unite under a single candidate... his very action is causing division in the opposition. He is requesting everybody to withdraw before he withdraw his own plan... I believe he should initiate it.

It's impossible at this point to have a common candidate for the opposition specifically Senator Noynoy Aquino. Manny Villar always lead surveys so I think he will not withdraw from the presidential race. And regarding Erap, I'm hoping that he will reconsider his decision and instead, just endorse either Aquino or Villar. That would be better for our country.

That's kind of difficult a question because it is really hard to tell at this juncture. However, if no one else will withdraw from the election, I feel it's a very difficult call for Erap. Without any offense to Erap, I don't think he can still lead the country by becoming the president once again due to his present health condition. You may notice that sometimes you see him being interviewed on TV and he has difficulty in talking. With a lot of problems our country is facing, he will have lots of hard times that might seriously affect his health further. But if he decided to run, he would still win due to his million of supporters. If not, he could still be a uniting force for the opposition. I really pray that he weighs things out again and again before making his final call.
