I don't mind to work as a house keeping person. I don't believe in categorizing jobs into high class or low class. Each job has its own responsibilities and importance. Also, the job of house keeping doesn't need any training or experience because all of us daily involve in keeping the house clean and orderly. What do you say?

As a girl,it will be easy for you to appreciate house keeping jobs.It is so easy as you are trained from the early days of your life.Keeping the house clean and maintaining the neatness should come with the blood of women. No,I am not male chauvinistic about this.It is still the condition in most of the society. So,as a man,I think it will be tough for me to choose something like that. But I have no degrading towards the nature of any job.Cheers!

Yes!I tend to help my wife in some of her house hold duties like washing clothes in the machine and helping her to keep the rooms clean.Even she is a house wife she expects some little helps like that and I do it for her convenience. But I can't imagine doing it as a job.Working in our house is different.I hope you can differentiate both.Cheers!

It is great to hear that you help your wife even though she is a home maker. Every women will appreicate it. I am a working women, but I still have in mind that I am the person who is supposed to do all house hold work. Whenever my husband helps me with that; I feel that I have got some bonus and feel very excited and thankful to him. I am sure that your wife vlaues your work a lot.

I think it will be tough for a man to do house keeping job. I will say the woman should practice her husband and sons in house keeping job by allotting some work to them, especially if the woman is working. Compred to my parents generation, I see that men help more in hosehold taks in my generation.

I have to agree, I don't think jobs should be classified as high class/low class either. I wouldn't mind being a house keeper. I have taken little side jobs helping people organize their houses and I actually find it fun cleaning and organizing other peoples houses. Not mine, though.

It is nice to hear that you had fun arranging house of other people. Yes, it is a platform for us to try out our creative ideas. It will be fun for sure and I would like to take up that job for sometime. In my country, people think that it is a low class job and it is a matter of pride to take up that job. It is sad that only poor and uneducated people will opt for that job.

Till now I haven't worked for anyone else.I have my own business & I think working for my self rather than working for anyone else is the best job. How can you compare a managerial post to a house keeping job? They are too different from one other.

Every job has its owm dignity and there is no inferiority to be felt for doing any jobs with utmost honesty and sincerity. Yes, at times I used to swep and wash my house floor and moreover that is being regarded as a good exercise too. Although I do House keeping jobs at home, I never can make it as a profession. During a temple service, I have served by being a house keeping person there for 3 days.

Even I don't mind working as anything since I enjoy all the work, but unfortunately I won't be able to take such job to be honest. This is because of the society where I live in. They will look down on you if you are someone who cares about the society. Now also the salary will be too low to maintain my family. So taking the job of cleaning the house is out of question. Happy Lotting

Hey daliaj, I agree, jobs shouldn't be classified. I am a housekeeper as well. I run my own home-cleaning business and it pays awesome! I do stuff other people either don't want or don't have time to do. The homes I clean are for the most part clean anyway so it's not really that tough, and since I only work 6 hours a week, and get to stay home with my children it works out well!! I am able to make enough to contribute to the finances while having the flexibility of working for myself, making my own hours, and getting paid the rate I choose. (That's awesome!!) But here where I live no one looks down on the job I do, I mean if they start criticizing housekeepers no one will want to be a housekeeper and everyone will be forced to clean their own home... I love cleaning anyway, so it works out well!

well. if the payment is as good as what i expected and i think i may have a try . that's just like do house works at home and i think most of us have to do house works by ourselves. that's not so hard to keep that house keeper work but i'm afraid that's not suit for we young and good educated who wish to recieve good salary.

Regardless of what type of job you have we are all people and deserve to be treated as equals. Granted some of us make hundreds and thousands of dollars a year, but doe that mean our jobs are better than the average person who makes say $20,000 per year? No and I will almost guarantee you that a lot of people making the big bucks aren't near as happy with their jobs as those of us who make a lot less. I have done many different things from janitorial to work for our states Revenue service in the office and I did not at any time feel that I was above someone else socially.

hi. i agree. as long as u know where u stand and who u are, people will respect u no matter what. as for the training, i think orientation is the right word. housekeeping is an important job, so u need to be familiar with the things around u. not every one can handle that with just one snap. :)

House keeping jobs... Yeah u right it's so funny job. because we can do it ourselves. Why some people categorized it into high and low class? I think for high class there are some PLUS TASK to do with Big Boss. Hahaha. It's according to me.

I don't mind to work as a house keeping person.Jobs are equal.Every job has its significance.Jobs have different income, some are high and some are low.But without sone of them, the society will be rough-and-tumble.Everyone has the thing that they should be done.We try to our best to do things that we should do and it's clorious.

i think it is still need some bit of training when going to this kind of job. though we do clean at home there is still some procedure when cleaning in offices and specially in hotels. we can't clean the way we do it in our home specially if our ways in cleaning in our home are just totally different from our place of work. i too wanted to experience to work in a housekeeping i think that it is quite interesting job and that quite a job worth experiencing though i can take a better job with better pay.

Hi daliaj! My thinking about house keeping job is same like you. I dont categorized job according to gender. But there are many work in house keeping i am not master or dont like to do. So here i dont mind to do house keeping job but cannot longer do that job.At home i do many house keeping job to help my wife like arrange bed sheet properly, keep children, clean house etc.. there are many. But continously i cannot do all those house keeping work. It required lots of patience , that i dont have. have a nice day!!

It's not whether I do mind or not, it's whether I can do it or not. There's no such thing as high class or low class job. Each one has their part. We can't classified a job to be in a rank just because their work is a bit different. Besides, I don't think I'll be able to work as a house keeping person. I can clean but I am not good enough. I am clumsy and tend to overlook stuff.

Hello daliaj..How are you today? You know with the way our economy is in rough shape on finances, then any job should be a blessing. If you have the chance to clean someone's house and get a little extra income from it then there should not be a label placed on you. If you choose to help someone clean their house then that is a good deed. You get rewarded with many thanks. I feel that no one should given a title when they are just trying to take care of their own. I wish you a good day and a better evening.

I enjoy cleaning (weird I know!) so actually I think this could be a good job for me. I think housekeeping is an honorable profession - no one should be looked down on for honest work.
