Would you rather saving money rather than going out during the holiday weekend?

Labor is on Monday, and we gonna have a long weekend for this week. A couple of good friends asked me to go on a three days trip to Florida, and relax over the weekend. But I have my consideration about the money, because with everything, I have to spend at least a couple of hundred dollars over the weekend. I decided not going, rather staying home to play PS3. Money is tight these days, I better saving them, and sacrifice my enjoyment for while. Would you do the same too?

yes, I would just stay home and try to save for another holiday maybe a longer one. I can always unwind and relax at home by not doing the usual chores LOL, maybe just watch TV and eat a lot or read a book or sleep a lot. Or go around the neighborhood and see who are also not going away for the weekend and maybe spend some quality time and getting a little info about their lives and vice versa. Or sharing food with everybody like a potluck in the back or frontyard.

I can feel that you may regret for what you chose , for you seemed want to go outside to enjoy yourself very much.In fact ,sometimes , I also had such feeling .I think that if you are now making money yourself , you can spend the money for the holiday .Because such changes will become fewer and fewer as we grow up.

Now that money is very difficult we need to save it for the future than to spend it for holidays. I'm also saving money for the rainy days. You can spend your weekend at home and it is much cheaper than to go out.

Yes I would have done the same thing. Money is tight for me at the moment and I always have to think twice about going out or staying in. I think in the long run it is much more sensible to try and save.

I would and I am. Everytime I went out, I'll spend more than I should. In fact, too much that I can overrun my puny budget. Most go for food and entertainment. So instead of going out, I stay at home and do whatever I can. Even if there's nothing to do, I can surf the net or watch movies online.
