Well, I don't eat pork either so I can definitively say that no, I would not want to eat it.

this kind of cooking is popular in the Philippines. there are also chicken cooked at this way and also bows. the apple is not put in the mouth for the purpose that he will not shout. the apple is put only before the pork is laid on the table and it serves as presentation. i respect your opinion on not eating certain foods of different countries for i too does not eat some food of different countries. for example, i dont eat sashimi or sushi that would be yuck for me.

This way I can tell them they are wrong .At this point I have quit meat all together,as it been so long, I fear getting sick.Anything other than my fiber filled meals of fruits, veggies, beans and nuts ,throw my digestive system on a frenzy for a while after. Thanks for the response!

I have read the book "The Circle of Life" it says nothing about cooking the whole pig head and all.I do know what your saying because everything is known about the animal verses picking it up at the market. We use to butcher also when inlaws had the farm.I just decided to stop eating anything that had a face some years back,my body is still thanking me for this. Thanks for stopping by

How shall I put this?
I have NO problem eating animals when it doesn't LOOK like the animal! LOL I like pork, beef, seafood, chicken, turkey, etc. But only when they're all cooked and don't look like a farm animal. haha My husband's family has a farm and we get beef from them all the time. I have a hard time making the connection though that we're eating their cows because I never see the butchering part. Which is a good thing!

My husband was a raised on a farm also ,so I use to have to help butcher. I eat nothing with eye's and a face now.So staying away from the butchering part is your best bet . I do remember how good it use to be after butchering ,because you know whats in it. But now get my protein from other sources.I will admit ,I do miss a good steak once in a while. Thanks for stopping

I love pork. I've never had the opportunity to eat a pig prepared in that way, but I would absolutely love to try it. I've heard that it tastes incredible.

lol, this is so common in the philippines and the best pig roast (we call them "lechon") comes from our city.
just as there are many things done in one country and not being done in another, food preparation and specialties also differ.
we are used to eating pig roasts here while u are not. what may be true to us may not be always true to u.
i am inviting u to try and taste it. come visit our place!
