"Mom! There's A Fire Ant!" came the little voice from down the hall. This morning my daughter called me from her bathroom to report that she'd seen a fire ant and thus for me to come to her rescue and kill it. When I got to the bathroom I saw that it was a flying insect, a small nat or fly type bug. Anyways I was having trouble reaching it as it was near the ceiling. I told her I didn't think I could reach it. She said "Maybe you can get a ladder help.". This was her way of telling me that I should get the step stool so I could reach the "fireant".
Anyways, I got the bug, she was happy, and that was that. It's the little things like this - when your 4 year old looks to you to solve their crises and they offer their "sage advice" along the way in order to help you out. Kids are so precious. She has no idea just how cute she was or how much that reminded me how much I love her.
Hug your babies today and tell them how much you love them...
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I hugged my babies a lot when they were growing up. The other day my eldest son sent me an email telling me how much he loved me and that just made my day, my whole week has been colored by that email.

hi schulzie kids can be so darned cute and loveable even if they'get into mischief. my son is now an adult but I had to laugh even as i wa upset too, he was three and busy cutting off all the fringe on a towel had gotten as a gift. I said, what on earth are you doing? stop: He looked up at me and said,"mama your towel was all unraveling so I stopped it before you lost all of it." I had to laugh as I looked at my trimmed towel.but it was not so funnythe day he decided to give his younger sister a hair cut.if he hadnt got the scissors caught in her long hair and I hadn't heard say"Wobbie dont do that.wobbie." I hurried in and stopped the hair cut before it got started.whew.

what a very nice story, thanks for sharing.
yes i agree with you, those little things are big crises to them, and then they come to mommy to help them with it. like what my two year old is doing.
i always hug mine and kisses them all the time.

They are precious at that age when they still think we rule the moon and stars and are their dragon slayers and monster slayers. I miss that age..lol I will be sure to tell my little sister who is now eight that I love her and give her a big squeeze hug..

My babies are the "grand" variety and I had a lenghthy but slightly incomprehesible conversation with the three year old by phone last night. They live several hundred miles away. Wish we could visit more often. It is nice to see you friend, seems to have been a long time.

Yes, I've been busy doing other things lately and haven't been able to get on here as much as I'd like to.
I totally understand about them being unitelligible over the phone. When I try to speak to my 4 year old and even my 10 year old on the phone I really can't understand the whole conversation.
Children are so precious. I cherish every moment.
Thanks for your comment and have a great day!!

I have a four year old granddaughter and I know what you mean....they are so knowledgeable! LOL......Recently she rode with me to a family function and I missed a turn on a detour....she was in her car seat in the back and says.....I knew I should have ridden with my mom and dad! LOL

How cute was that. I so miss then day's with my son. Now that he is 19 I don't get much of a chance or if I do get to help him with something he don't listen because I'm Mom. And then later to find out Mom was right. You have a great day. Your friend onlydia

Aww...this is such a sweet post. Kids are absolutely beautiful and amazing. I don't have kids of my own but I adore my nephews and nieces. Their train of thought/ development always makes me go "wow". maybe im weird that way but then, I find it interesting to see them grow into their own person.
