Do you FED UP ever,when your discussion doesn't get responses?

It can be frustrating when there is no response to ones discussion. It happened to me two times. I have been careful ever since. I prefer to start discussions which are simple and easy to answer. Or the discussion should be interesting. Also the title of the discussion is important. Make sure your discussion will attract people to respond to it.

I have lots of patience I suggest to new users that before they start discussions of their own, they spend their time responding on dicussions by others both to see how it's done and to make a few friends. Those friends will then probably respond on any discussions you start in future. Starting a discussion is a responsability. MyLot does not want a question/answer but a real discussions and that is what we earn for. You learn how to do that once you have been here a bit longer and seen how others do it and after you are familiar with the Guidelines too. They can be found at the bottom of every page. To be honest I am not that bothered. People may just not be interested in the subject that you are discussing. A lot of it can depend on the time when you post as there are times of the day when more people are active.

I have started several discussions for which I have received no response and sometimes just one response. I try not to take this personally. When no one responds to a discussion I start, I realize that the topic that I find interesting is not necessarily a topic that other people find interesting!!! You are very new here. Try not to worry.

Well I wouldn't get upset straight away if I don't get a response within 5 minutes, cause that's kind of stupid. I am also pretty patient. If I get no responses, it just teaches me that not much people in mylot are interested in that kind of thing. Usually I have 3 responses, and when I wake up the next morning I have like 15 or 20!

I like to browse the "No Responses" section and comment on some of those discussions to give those users a helping hand. But sometimes discussions with no responses are simply inane and not worth the effort of replying. Call me callow, but I don't believe in encouraging ill thought-out or unreadable discussions. Post a quality discussion, and it will get quality answers. If you don't...well, it won't.

i feel sad sometimes but think that may be its my fault that the discussion of mine is having some left outs or may bethis question is repeated twice on mylot. other reason may be , having few friends or being a newbie here in mylot as people do not know him and so not responds very frequently to his discussions.

No,when I don't get even a single response,I try to understand what mistake did I make.Sometimes I misuse the tags, and my discussion doesn't appear where it should,sometimes the topic is boring or someone has already created a similar topic that day.One of my discussions got zero responses because I wrote a French word instead of English word!Always comment your discussions,it also helps.

I don't mind if it doesn't get responses right away. The odds are that sooner or later, by one member or another, the older discussions I've started will get responses. It may not happen today or tomorrow, but it'll happen. So no, I'm not too worried about that.

well theres too things that make me angry one is that my star ether goes down then up again later. or it just stays at the same place for about 3 months or so. i have only been here for 5 months and i had this same number for about 2 months i think now. anyway what bugs me even more and gets me fed up is knowing that i got zero responses on a subject or discussion your totally right. it feels like your talking to yourself and you wasted your time. its the greatest feeling to feel. it makes you think what your saying is not worth looking at or reading. i rarely do discussions anymore but i try to at least once a week but i never really make that goal some weeks. like i'm suppose to be doing tons of hw right now and studying and doing my project to i rather make money. so thanks for the question just try to stay positive even if you don't get any responses because actually the other day i commented on someone discussion from two years ago!!! can you believe it i barely could i though mylot would delete it but no. so thats the good news if no one answers it now they might answer it in the future hopefully anyway. well happy mylotting.
