Is Parental Neglect Is the cause of Moral Decadence?

The problems start in the home at birth. Too many parents today don't want to make the effort it takes to give their children a good start in life. Schools are trying to offer parent education classes, but by school age the patterns have already started to form and it's hard to change them. Maybe parent education should be mandatory from conception on for all first time parents. I'm not sure what the answer is.

I agree with you sbeauty. Parents seem to be dropping the ball and passing the buck. I've often advocated for parenting classes before you get pregnant. We have to have a license to drive in America, but we can reproduce at will with no training. Seems skewed somehow.

Yes. People can't be bothered to do things, like cook a decent meal for their kids or give them emotional support when needed. People use the t.v. and the different computer games as babysitters. Not to mention the types of games that these kids play on their play stations. Most parents wouldn't even know the contents of these games, if they did, they probably wouldn't buy them for their kids. Parents don't discipline their kids anymore just let them run a riot whenever, whereever.
