Do you love to write. What has encouraged you to write and what do you write about? Where do you get your writing ideas from? I love writing. Ever since being in highschool, I've always wrote various things. Short stories and mostly poems. That what I mostly right on. Most of my writings come from either experiences or feelings. That's what I believe makes a good writer. There are a few other things I write like topics maybe that I feel strongly on. I love writing and I continue to write since it was I love. What about you.

I used to write short stories when I was in Primary School. When High school came there were some hard times and a friend and I used to write poetry to talk about things, get feelings out, i'm not really sure why but we did and it made us feel good. I really did love writing and I loved compiling poetry with her. We wrote some REALLy good stuff together and alone we made a beautiful book real natural not typed penship and all. I treasured this book very much. I became involved with a man that was abusive and hurtful and one day he ripped that book up into little tiny pieces. My words were lost. I cant express the pain I felt. My friend and I tried to get draft and odd copies together but mostly it was GONE. A few things have happened in my life and I find it harder to express myself now. I have had writers block ever since. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever get over the block.

Oh wow, I can understand how that would hurt you. Believe me I believe that you should be able to get over your writers block and it will all start coming back to you. Maybe one day sit down and just start writing with what you are feeling and see what happens when you're finish. That is a nice idea though compiling all your poetry into one book.

Yes, I love writing and it really does something for me! I experience freedom, peace, joy and many other feelings I cannot describe. I have always kept private journals and from this stemmed my love of creative writing. I have been submitting articles to the likes of Helium and I have over thirty articles on that site now. I have also created a blog although I'm having difficulty in maintaining this. I have always thought about writing short stories but I just don't know where to start, I have problems with actually creating the characters but I would love to learn how to do this. I think that the more you write the better you become. My Lot certainly helps in the writing process! Andrew

I do agree that the more you practice and the more writing you do the better you get. Mylot does help out a lot with your writing skills. Helium is a good site to do writings on. I used to write on there and not so much any more because of the limitations on my internet access. Keep it up with your writing.

To be accurate, I love certain forms of writing and hate other forms of writing.
I hate to write coursework. I always felt very stressful when taking a degree course. I did not mind sitting for written examination, but I hate coursework, especially group coursework where each of us wrote a part.
I hate to draft company policy too. I prefer company to hire lawyers to draft the policy properly.
I love blogging. It's fun and I can write whatever comes into my mind. I can forget about the correct sentence structure or perfect English when comes to blogging. Reply to discussion in mylot is fun too. It's a very enjoyable form of writing.

I would totally have to agree with you on that one with the course work. Cause that can get tiresome and so on. Writing for mylot is fun too I will definitely have to agree on that one. I have never blogged before, but I may start to show off my writing.

I myself love to write. I write from memories, thoughts and feelings. Throughout my school years I was always writing something, whether it be poems, letters, articles, etc. I may not be the best and other people may not like some of the things I write about as some of the things are straight from the heart, but it is my heart and for me the things I write about are important and informative, so why not write. Have a great day.

It is good that you write from the heart. I believe that's where people's best writings come from. Sometimes there will be certain people that aren't going to like your writing, but continue to write and eventually someone will be out there that loves your writing style.

I love to write but I tend to get "lost" in it. I have a crazy family life right now, so I usually just write poetry and blogs and short articles. I'm working on a screenplay and novel- but then isn't everyone?

Hello trisha27,
How are you doing? Well let me just say that I absolutely love writing. I think that mylot is a great place for us all to be able to express ourselves creatively in the writing arena. Just like you, I have written just about every since I can remember. I enjoy writing about life's experiences. If I happen to write about something, it's because the particular subject or topic was something that I thought was worthy or writing about. I enjoy poems and short stories as well. I'm still trying to find my area of specialty in writing but right now I feel that it's more aimed towards creative writing. Thanks for posting and I hope you've enjoyed my writing style. Happy mylot.

I don't remember ever NOT being a writer. I wrote stories about talking animals in elementary school, mysteries and poetry in high school. I started writing creative non-fiction in college and have done some freelance writing over the years. I have been offering writing as part of my creative services business for the past 18 years.
I've used writing to express myself, to entertain my children and grandchildren, to promote products and services, to persuade people, to better understand myself, to record my family history, and even to heal. I am now writing my memoirs and teaching others how to write their own life stories.
Writing can improve anyone's life in some way, and I'd love to show you how.

I love to write.
I draw inspiration from personal experiences or something that I see, feel...just about anything that sparks my creativity.
I write poetry. Songs, if I am that disciplined enough at that point in time. Journal entries and the likes.
I love writing about life, love and something that I think/feel because that's where I can pour out my thoughts and emotions. I like to make it as "raw" as possible so that my readers can feel exactly how I feel. It's a bit of a task sometimes but well, practice makes perfect and not everyone will appreciate your work.
Whether or not I have an audience, I like to write because it is a free form of expression and sometimes, I just want to vent without having anyone throw their cynicism or criticism at me, especially in my journals :-)
