Hi lilaclady, the Australian fire was much in the news, too. I am so sorry. I could only pray to God to keep the people safe. I also call on the angels to protect the people with their powerful wings. I am glad you survived the fire. Now I know the heavenly powers heeded my call.

The culprit is some idiot - an arsonist that investigators are looking for. There's a $100,000 reward for any tips that would lead to the arrest of this idiot. And yes we're talking greenbacks - USD - whatever you call them. It's terrible but it has happened before. They've got insurance - so I'm sure the insurance will pay them to rebuild. On a more positive note - now there's more work for construction workers since they will be hired to rebuild.
Let's not all be negative about this. There's a silver lining in everything after all. Plus, us Californians - we know that it has happened before and it'll happen again. We fall - but we'll rise, we always do. God Bless California!

I am so sorry to hear that. When did the burning start? Any idea what's the cause of it?

Los Angeles and the neighboring hills had been burning for almost a fortnight already. Investigation had not come up with a conclusion with what started the fire.
