Do you get tears fast? Or can you control tears?

I am very sensitive and for fall of a hat tears burst out of my eyes. I tried to control it several times, but I cannot. If somebody says anything, misunderstand my sincere efforts, use a hard word, I cannot withstand. Even failure affects me a lot. I know it is a sign of weakness but I do not know how to control. My sister is a strong person and boldly she faces the situation. She defends, argues and never cries. Though she is younger to me, she is my inspiration. What about you, do you get tears soon or are you a bold and strong person?

Just because your sister is not a crier doesn't mean she's a stronger person. It just may be that your feelings run deeper than hers. Tears are not a bad thing unless they interfere with your ability to express yourself.
I'm a crybaby myself. I cry when I'm happy; I cry when I'm sad. The tears fall when I'm frustrated, when I'm frightened, and when I'm relieved. However, people have always told me I have a strong and forceful personality.
Don't apologize for your sensitivity. It's people like you, who possess an abundance of empathy, that do the most good in this world.

That is true. I cannot see anybody suffering. Immediately I go to help. In my neighbour's house a tiny cat was shouting for three hours may be for her mother. They never bothered. Such a small cat crying for three hours, what will happen to it's throat without a bit of water? What about hunger? I gave milk to it. Now she is our precious pet and loves us so much. My neighbour says, if you give milk it will settle down here so I did not give. How can people be so selfish and thick hearted?

Hi buchi_bulla I like your username! hehe..
Same with you, I easily cry. It happens because of the same reason like you, when I fail, somebody misunderstand me, etc. Even I get tears when I wanna angry! Actually,I can't angry. Whenever I wanna shout or say bad words to the person, I will cry instead of shouting. I hate this situation, really! I wanna be like my mom, who is a strong and boldly person. She always tell me to be brave like her. I'm brave! but I can't control my tears. The only way I can control it just by think "I'm shy if I cry in front of many people, I will just delay it,,and cry when I'm in my room". Then I will cry in my room..
Luckily, I have big rounded eyes and I don't know why, but my eyes won't getting read if I just cry a little. Even if I cry for a long time, it can back to normal color in just minutes. I can smile like nothing happen too,,and recently, I ofund that I can cry without tears.. Maybe it sounds strange, but I really cry, but no tears come out..

You have two plus points one eyes not getting red and another one, now you are crying without tears. There is a song in tamil language film. 'I want to become a lady who has won over tears'. I always remember those words but failed to stop tears. I myself hate my own self, whenever I cry, but how to control? May be we should develop courage.

I'm definitely a crier/tearer - whatever you call it. Especially when I'm stressed out - I cry! I'm a big cry baby. My boyfriend hates the waterworks - but he's starting to warm up to them. When I'm stressed out - the first thing I do is cry or the urge to cry is very strong. It doesn't matter where I am. Anyway, I've tried to control it and keep it to myself, which is not the healthiest thing to do. So when my bf gets here - that's when I let out. After a good cry - I just feel a lot better!

Yes. That is the only advantage of tears. You feel better after crying.

I look your statements in other way and here are my comments: You are very very kind hearted person, Genuine and soft spoken. Generally when a person have these qualities those tend to cry when they get hurt. But believe me crying sometimes makes you feel light (I mean after crying...). But try to ask one question always, Does crying solves your problem?
You can change this and can become Bold by NLP program which helps you a lot. Wish you all the best.

this is a perfect question for me, yes i get tears very fast, where there is no need of crying there also i cry and feel a bit foolish to do that but i cannot controm my tears.
if some one blames me for something i have not done, i cannot even say that i have not done that instead i start crying and my tears says the story that i am not the culprit. I wan to be tough and not a sensitive person to cry anywhere , anytime.

Both happy tears and sad tears must be shed whether female or male. They are biological expression of inner feelings. It is said that sad tears contain harmful chemicals, and if not shed, will hurt your organs. When I feel like crying, I will keep to myself and do it to my heart content, after which physically greatly relieved.

i can control my tears very well.once i saw a very touching movie and all people around me fell into tears. but i didnt wanna cry in public and the director was a person i disliked very much, so i decided not to cry.
my friend told me after the film that i had very red eyes--during the movie not hearing my crying she thought i wasn't crying and thought i was very strong.

Hi
Actually i wont cry at all because i will compromise with the situation. Though i used to help all the people and animals, only animals are faithful and humans are selfish including relatives. That is what i understood. By crying, our problems are not going to solve.

I'm an onion-skin, that's what we call those who shed tears that easy. Most people say that I have a strong personality which is partly true but never was I able to control my tears. Not that there's anything wrong with this, but others see this as a sign of weakness.
But if you think of it, we can't be strong all the time. No one would want to take care of us if we always project a personality that would intimidate the others.

I have not cried in public as many times i have cried alone.Showing tears out to everyone is kind of a shameful act for me.I try as far I could to stop myself from bursting into tears, the most cried part would be emotional and actually silly matters.
Being humans we can control them but most oft the times its beyond our reach.A person's will power plays a very crucial part in this scenario.

If I try to control my tears because I want to stop I end up crying more. It is really weird and annoying. I doubt many people have this problem. I am a guy and crying is not a guy thing to do. Does anyone else have this problem. I hope I am not the only one...lol...that would be very bad for me.
