The Moon

The moon has always been fascinating to me, I can stare at it for hours and not get bored. Tonight the moon outside is beautiful, full and bright, despite the clouds, and has a raionbow halo around it. I wish you all could see it! I took a picture but I have a lot of problems with my hadns and cuold not keep my hands steady to get a decent shot. It is the photo I uploaded for this interst group. My zodiac sign is Cancer, which makes me a "moonchild", which I think is appropriate. Here is one of my most favcorite poems, I used to read it to my daughter until she memorized it at three years old and could recite it to me by heart (that was a really nice surprise LOL): The Moon by Robert Louis Stevenson The moon has a face like the clock in the hall; She shines on thieves on the garden wall, On streets and fields and harbour quays, And birdies asleep in the forks of the trees. The squalling cat and the squeaking mouse, The howling dog by the door of the house, The bat that lies in bed at noon, All love to be out by the light of the moon. But all of the things that belong to the day Cuddle to sleep to be out of her way; And flowers and children close their eyes Till up in the morning the sun shall arise. Do you enjoy looking at the moon? Do you like the works of Robert Louis Stevenson? Has anythting nice happened to you today?

I am a fan of Robert Louis Stevenson, his writings are interesting. Ummmmm to talk about the moon I remember a small incidence of my life. I was working latenight in a rural place and the site was far away from human population. I was alone carrying cash on rainy night. There weren't any streetlights when I was heading back to my hotel. There weren't any transport at past midnight either. It was a "poornima" that night. We call a full moon night as Poornima in Hindi. The moon guided my way and was my strength. I don't know whether I could aptly describe the above anecdote. Well I am a Cancerian too so maybe I love the Moon too. As for the good things I had appeared for my first exams of MBA and I cleared it. So it gave me a feeling of achievement.

actually moon gazing as I call it is one of my past time. Call it a hobby. We had a nice terrace in the house which is a perfect location for moon gazing and include also the millions of stars out there.

Funny, there was really beautiful full moon yesterday covered in bright clouds that changed colors as they were passing through and I starred at it all the way home.

The moon always full of mistery and beauty. Yes, I always prefered the moon then the sun. I am a night person so I love the nights. Sometimes when I discover the moon is full I get out of my house to the street to see it. It´s always so beautiful and magic. Reminds me of that song Michael Jackson sang for the ET movie: Someone In The Dark.

I too have always been fascinated with the moon and I must admit it's beautiful to look at when there are nothing but clear skies during the night. I'm sure that when you look at the moon closely a face slowly starts to appear. By gazing at the moon, well this helps me to reflect and contemplate. There are plenty of poems regarding the moon as well and they too are very nice. Andrew

I too have this fascinating sense in me and love to stare at the moon. I really love to see the moon especially when you can sense the clouds surrounding the moon are moving. I can feel the earth is still revolving and I can appreciate because it gives me the thought that we are still alive and we still live in this planet called earth. I really love the poem The Moon Robert Louis Stevenson. It is one of my favorite poem. And one of my most fanned poem.

Love that little poem! And yes, I also love to look at the moon, in fact, I just went and looked out the window so I could see it too. So big and full. That was one of my most favorite things to do while camping, just lay there and see the moon and all those beautiful stars. Nothing like in the city, oh heck no. I sleep on my couch in the living room and there's a big window, so I can see the Moon every night..love it. What's funny is, I was going to ask you what sign you were and now I know...yes you are a little moonchild. If I told you what nice thing happened to me today, you'd think I was a real looney tune and I'd like to keep you as a friend, HaaHa!

The moon is important to me, not just because it is so fascinating to watch, but because it brings me closer to loved ones far away. We may be on different continents but we all watch the same moon and knowing that seems to bring us closer. Often I callmother to ask if she has seen the moon when it is full and then we watch together even though we are very far apart. Has anything nice happened? Yes, I was still alive when I woke up That's a good thing every day so far.

This is priceless. Earlier this evening I was outside doing my moon dance (which I do in honor of the Goddess at every full moon, under my towering pines that I've named for novataylor) and then I come in the house and find this discussion! lol So yeah, I guess you could say I enjoy the moon, and I definitely love RLS. I have everything he ever wrote, so thanks for reminding me to get his books back on my bookshelves! Today lots of nice things happend, but the most important one is that I got my airline ticket to get to Ontario in mid-Sept...................discussion about it to follow! LOL

Kitty- RLS is one of my favorite authors. My zodiac is also Cancer, and my planets actually align with the moon! I'm very much ruled by it in many facets of my life. The full moon is my time to charge my Tarot deck, stones, and so forth. I also bathe in its energies and relish in the fact that I am woman. Happy Full Moon. Namaste-Anora

Hello Angry Kitty, how are you today? I am a bit okay now. well, i haven't been looking at the moon recently since it's been raining here for days. but when ever the sky is clear at night, i would look up to the moon. And see it in different directions every single night. That reminds me, i should have took a picture of it..sometimes i get annoyed, other times, i just want to look at it and hopes to become a "were-wolf" Awoooooo! And yeah, that's probably the sweetest poem I've ever heard..have a great day

The universe that still is a big mystery, moon adds to it.I love to look at the moon.It has lots of faces ,right I love to look at it when its partially visible like an bright sharp curve and also when its a full moon.Well everyone would prefer looking at moon during these faces. The moon adds the extra beauty to the dark night sky, with the lovely bright light of its.
