I know what you mean...lol...but are we as women taking on too many responsibilities that are too stressful?

I think it is because things bother us more than our male conterparts. Many men are completely oblivious to the world around them and I think women pay more attention and pick up on more goings on and emotions than men do.

I agree that women are more aware on more subtle levels than men generally are.

An older man once told me (during an arguement w/my boyfriend) that the difference between men and women is women think with their hearts and men think with their minds. I have thought a lot about this during the past few years and I think it is true.

Why would you say women are unhappy? I am not unhappy and I can tell you of hundreds of women that I know who are not unhappy. If someone is unhappy, then that person needs to take control and find/do what will make her happy.

American women between the ages of 32 and 54 years of age are called the "sandwich" generation and are faced with parents' aging and raising children, working outside the home, and other responsibilities contributing to feeling more stress than personal happiness.

Though there might be various reasons, one reason I suspect would be expecting too much from the people they love. The wife expects the husband to understand how she feels without being told..and when he doesn't respond accordingly, she is unhappy. Career oriented women might be unhappy if their career isn't going anywhere.
Maybe it's because they are not content with what they feel is the most important thing in their life (kids, job, family)

In America, many women care for their own husbands and children as well as their aging parents and inlaws.

we are happy! we should be!
it's just that we got our female 'setbacks' which affect our moods big-time, i.e. monthly period, menaupause, depression during pre/post pregnancy.
inspite of, women are strong and tough, have the ability to love with much patience and dedication - enough reasons for us to be happy persons :)
